    Hello gents, I don’t know if you’re aware, but the pros are manufactured in the U.S., whereas the HMR is completely manufactured in Spain and must pass stringent Spanish and EU quality control before being exported. That being said, my standard B14 HMR shoots better than my pro for whatever reason. Also for recored, Bergara (Spain) used to make the barrels for the Remington custom shop rifles as well.

    I unboxed n brand new 24" 6.5 Creedmoor with a buddy minutes ago I advised him on the purchase he didn't received any card with factory shot test with ammo stated in Allen key for trigger adjustment aither. Imtold him to call into Begara on the 26 if they are open sight the serial number quality control should honestly explain what was shot through his barrel before shipping out to retailer

    It does not look like Bergara responds to the comments here. I just got a HMR Pro and since all the videos I watched said it came with the card showing ammo and how it shot I expected one as well. Also didn’t get the Allen key for the trigger, but I have several. My big complaint was all the over molding on my HMR stock, and the fact that all of my flush sling cups were missing. I went with Bergara for the quality, but have to say my first impression was not what I was expecting. Customer service said the over molding on the stock is normal for all HMRs.

    Bought a bergara HMR pro 6.5 prc. Shot good first time out. Second time out the rifle would not group. Tried a small fortune in ammo trying to get it to group. The last time to the range I found the front action screw laying on the bench. Called bergara they told me to purchase locktite my self and tighten it back up. Didn’t seem to care or have much concern for my issue.

      It’s not that I had to screw it back together. It was the fact that customers service gave me the impression that bergara has no sense of empathy for the issue. Not the experience I was hoping for. I traded the rifle soon after.

    That must have been an old practice.
    I just picked up a Mountain 2.0 and no target included.
    I have to say I took it to the range today, and with factory Norma practice ammo it shot about a 2" group. With a Leupold VX6 3x18 scope.
    With Hornady 143 ELD match, about 2" group
    I gotta say, I wasn't impressed.
    And no, I don't think it was me.
    I also had a AR15 build I just put together with a 12" McGowan custom barrel, with an 8x Vortex LPVO scope.
    That one shot 3 groups under 3/4".
    With the 3rd group at .390.
    I'm hoping this Mountain 2.0 in 6.5 PRC picks up some accuracy.

    Just purchased a Bergara premier approach ..came with a fractured stock..no replies from emails have to get in line on the phone. Once I get a call back they will send a new stock. Week later have no idea who I am...and retell the broken stock story I guess quality control had the day off ..didn’t make it right just sent me the same stock which I can’t get an eye relief on ..can’t wait for the range ...by the way no card saying someone shot the gun from the shoulder or bench

      Ive heard crap customer service i couldnt believe I didn't get a price of paper showing what groups and what ammo they used just a card saying it shot 0.404" that dont mean nothing to me but on the field the gun once i wore in the barrel about 120 rounds is shooting like this @100 5 shot group "774 thats with a flyer @200 .889" @500 1.185" all 5 shot groups using factory ammo
      Ive cleaned my brass im ready to prime and use my A-TIPS AND SOME 264" CAL HYBRID HUNTER BERGERS then I feel as if the gun is going to do really well personally the premier ridgeback is got alot going for it compared to other systems its 100% a PRS quality system with the luxury of buying factory ammo and know its going to do its job everytime

    I was a little disappointed cause I didn't know if it was match or the eldx ammo

      th-cam.com/video/WcU0MWu8RLQ/w-d-xo.html
      IMO, easily adjustable trigger and toolless bolt disassembly alone are worth the price of admission. Personally, I have enough pain in the ass fixing cars all day every day at work. The last thing I want to do on my day off, is pick up tools. I'm not a gunsmith and I have zero desire to become one.
      Paying somebody to adjust my trigger for me, only to find out that I requested the wrong weight and have to pay and wait for another adjustment? Fuck that.
      I've got over 30 grand in mechanic's tools at work. Buying more tools just to clean my guns? Again, fuck that shit, bro.
      Your mileage may vary but, I think these two features alone are worth the price.
      As mentioned in that video I'm linking in this comment, the bolt is fluted in order to help protect the shooter in the event of a cartridge exploding in the chamber. Everybody I've talked to says if you're hand loading very hot rounds, you want that feature because the odds are high that you could explode a cartridge.
      Hope this helps.

    • @TexasTrained
      @TexasTrained 3 ปีที่แล้ว

      1st of all it is made in USA over Spain..2nd it has a better trigger.3rd you can adjust trigger without removal from stock.4th it has a removable Bolt Head to chaange or clean firing pin.5th you can also change Bolt Head to Switch calibers instead of buying a whole new bolt. 6th it comes in Stainless over plain black rustable Chrome Molly .7th it has a longer 26 inch barrel over just a 24 inch barrel.
      That is a Lot of reasons to me for the higher price.Im okay with it.

      None, my HMR shoots better, and the HMR’s are built in Spain, whereas the Pro’s are built in the U.S. Save the money and buy the HMR, it’s a better rifle with stricter quality control, hope this helps😎👍

    • @Roninforged

      You can buy that bolt from Bergara and change out your standard HMR bolt, just double check your head spacing, or have a qualified gunsmith do it for you for a nominal fee.

    These are definitely custom production rifles... Custom because of their processes. Read on how they make their barrels You will be impressed. Also, read into Tikka, they make an amazing rifle, their actions are great but their barrels experience a lot of velocity loss. Very common. Bergara and Tikka make a great product and I don't think there's a wrong answer. Tikka Barrels just lose velocity.. and Bergara actions need to be black hahah

  • @yeetyeet8365
    @yeetyeet8365 3 ปีที่แล้ว

    Ones out of Spain are better. Three different rifles the bolts would not open to eject the brass. The barrel making process in Spain is top notch. So the barrel is probably made in Spain and if not I would pick the Spanish barrel that they got coached by Shilen himself. Oh yes how do the tree rifles that wound not eject have that problem after a human tested them a a range to fire a three shot test target. The 800 dollar saving is like a free scope. Win win.

  • @G19Jeeper
    @G19Jeeper 5 ปีที่แล้ว +3

    Full custom? Really guy? Not even close especially if the standard is a 3 shot group under 1 moa. A standard Tikka T3X will do better than that.

      Jadon Wilkerson all day long huh? If your rifle truly shoots 1/4 moa “all day long” or even close to that consistent, you’ve got one hell of a kind of a rifle there. If it did it once, doesn’t mean it will do it again.
