Hello Mel and thank you for this fabulous video which I followed step by step to design a card (practice run for now). I'm running into a stubborn issue: the prints for "front" and "back" on the side of the card... won't allow me to center them. They have a tendency to place themselves towards the edges. Why can't I place them exactly in the middle?
only very few people on youtube would publish almost an hour video to show people the exact process of making everything, its like spoon feeding us and i really admire and appreciate your efforts Mey!

Thank you so much for your help. I lost the use of my right hand due to a tumour removal operation , first they wanted to amputate, so lost my career as a hairdresser. Subsequently taught my left hand to draw and started sketching my and others black cats in charcoal and you've given me confidence to turn them into greeting cards. I watched the video about 20 times, pausing and rewinding often, trying to get it all figured out. Once I finished the first one, which took hours and hours... Now, I am making new ones in under 10 minutes!

@@expressivedezien I am not sure i would do it that much differently, maybe target this for other shop types, and talk about the biz side a bit more.
the layout itself and the design process is still the same these days.. maybe i can add some AI in it , as well as my own clipart... we'll see.... so many ideas !! Happy you asked !

I am 45 now. Technology has changed and allowed me to do this in a way that I couldn't back then because the times were so different. This is so easy and it will be fun to do. @@MeyTribe ... I watched the postcard tutorial. I am confused though. The end product shows front and back of card on same page. How will that print a card with the front on the front and the back on the back? I think the page will print out the way it shows. Both on the one page...

This video was so helpful. I spent 5 hours yesterday trying to do a greeting card and mock ups in Canva and still didnt look great. This video showed me how to do a card from start to finish and post it in 45 mins. thanks for making this video. I look forward to watching more of your videos

Ok, I've been watching printable videos for several months now and even though many of them have shown me how different platforms work I've been still floundering trying to list my first card....until today! I've been really procrastinating this whole process because of too many questions in my mind. I created two cards but was missing so much detail! I could list all of what I needed that I received in this video but it would probably be several paragraphs. I just LOVE that you detail exactly how to DESIGN the product and the how to LIST the product. I used to do a lot of what used to be called 'desktop publishing' with software called Corel Draw and thought I could just walk into this. I was frustrated that I just couldn't start clicking and designing the way I wanted. Thank you, thank you for your passion to actually help people get started in these processes. I'm going to actually watch the photo selling video even though selling photos isn't even on my list of projects. Your teaching content and delivery is right on and your passion and enthusiasm is contagious. I am subscribed...and I WILL be watching! Thanks again!

Thanks so much for posting this! I opened a card shop on Etsy last year just before Fathers Day and to my amazement sold nearly 1000 cards in just a few weeks. The material cost just didn’t make it worthwhile in the long run so my shop has been resting since but You have certainly just given me some ideas to maybe one day convert my bestseller designs into downloadable ones 🤔Thank you again 😊
First off- that's awesome you could do that ! Honestly, physical cards, handmade, have always had a place in my heart. If it weren't for me moving a lot- i would have loved having a shop selling physical items.
You can def make your items digital, or maybe combine with print on demand for them to make & ship the cards for you !

Mey, you are extremely detailed in showing instructions and process of making & selling printable cards. KUDOS.
I also want to offer files that people can print directly to pre-cut cardstock, so they don't have to cut.
I'm working with 4x6 and 6x4 foldable cards. I feel ridiculous but for some reason, I cannot get them to print out right.
I've tried all sorts of ways to set up in the printer but can't seem to get it to print properly. 🙄
I think it is def in the printer settings- if in fact the size was correct on the PDF you've created...
