I just got mine. The features and customisation on this is just through the roof. Appreciate its versatility for work, play and watching tv. I live in Singapore where this brand is from and we have onsite assembly. That was my one gripe with. Poor paid assembly from their team. If I had known how easy it was to assemble it myself, I’d have saved myself some cash.
For anyone that has a H1 Pro classic. The only new thing here is the upgraded headrest. I contacted Hinomi and they said the upgraded headrest is available for classic chair owners early December for $30, and free shipping.
To anyone stumbling upon this review and thinking of getting this chair - The materials are not nearly as cheap feeling as you may have heard. Yes, it's all plastic, but pretty decent plastic material. The mesh is VERY taught, but nice to the touch. Yes, the lumbar is invasive (I'm 5'9' 140lbs, and pretty skinny, though. My bulkier friends enjoy the firmness of this chair.), but you may be looking for that. The lumbar support still hurts my back, and the taughtness of the mesh in the seat is also VERY stiff. Yes, I looked through Reddit, and feel the criticisms are overblown. No, this chair, at least for me, is not so comfy I could sleep in it. The chair does feel productive regarding working posture, though. My frame of reference is coming off of the beloved Staples Hyken chair which I've owned for 7 years. FYI - If you buy this chair and plan to take advantage of the return policy, you NEED to return it in the box it came in. No exceptions. Do NOT throw away the box if you plan on returning it. To the reviewer in this video - Has the chair broken in to any degree since you've bought and used it? My main gripe/worry before getting this chair was the lumbar/mesh, and it seems I was right to be concerned. It's not terrible, but I'm hoping over time the mesh will sag and become more comfortable. Would you say this is a similar experience in your case?
I honestly thought the comfort was great out of the box. But I may be more of a fan of the firmness than you are. As for the lumber support, I normally hate chairs with lumbar support , but I like how this one has the adjustability so it has some give when sitting into it. I don’t think I’ve owned it long enough for the mesh to give too much, it’s only been a month or so, so I may make an update after a year or so. I do agree with what you said about the material, I may have portrayed it to be worse than it is. While it’s not a super premium build, the materials are great for the value.
Great review. I've got one on the way. Can't wait to get it! Love all the features. I'm replacing a 20 yr old leather and wood chair. It just gets too hot, especially in the summer. Plus, their Black Friday pricing made the decision easier. Thank you!
WARNING to anyone over 80kg! If you're planning to use this for 8-10hrs daily, don't buy it. Mesh is guaranteed to sag very quickly (1-2years with that sort of use), that's just the downside to this comfort. The problem is the company policy. The piece of shit company I've just contacted said they DO NOT SELL REPLACEMENT PARTS! Their parts are apparently reserved for warranty claims, how the hell does that work? The chair has just been released and they stopped manufacturing parts? WTF. Mesh is not covered by warranty by any manufacturer! So guess what, throw it in the trash in 1-2 years. Herman Miller and some others although expensive, at least sell replacement mesh pads in case you tear through the seat or it sags which you simply screw in. This thing won't do any of that. It's such a shame, because ergonomically its has all the best choices as a product. But you shouldn't support a company like that. The buyer is the issue these day for letting them get away with it and still buying.
Great review! And now I’m dying to find a link to that wallpaper and have it on my ultrawide 😢… Did many image searches and no luck. Could you please provide me with a link?
I'm sorry, but I just got this chair and I'm returning it. I spent the past week trying to get used to it. The lumbar is downright painful, and the seat is so taut that it makes my legs sore. It leaves me feeling beat up at the end of the workday. The good news is that I'm using my standing desk more because I don't want to sit down.
Same here, that lumbar support is way too pronounced …cannot believe it is designed like this - my whole family agree. The mesh is also uncomfortable after a short while, like an hour because there is no give…it’s like sitting on a trampoline’s mesh; try that some time and see how long you enjoy that Also, this chair is too heavy…cumbersome moving it around
Thanks for the review. I thought of getting two of these for my wife snd I. But $800+ is a lot of money. Possibly good value, i just dont have that much. Also my wife is around 300lbs and i wasnt confident in a mesh bottom for her. I ended up getting two Newtral magic chairs off of ebay, official used listing from the manufacturer for about $180 each. Well see how good or bad they are
I purchased the Hinomi and now I'm totally annoyed on the daily basis due to the fact the lumber height will not lock into place. There isn't any mechanism to keep the chair back from sliding back down, a really bad design in my opinion. After spending over $539.00, I now know this chair and the Hinomi website are marketing geniuses, due to the fact that even after all the research I did, I now know this is the worst chair I've ever owned. Hinomi will not honor refunding me what I paid for the chair. 👎
How are you running into this issue? The chair back has to be pulled up on in order for it to slide back down. I don't find a situation where this could happen on accident. Unless I am misunderstanding your complaint

But it has a 12 years warranty
@@marc-andrebazinet-simard355 he literally said mesh is not covered by warranty
@@stephen1649 No. He "literally said" at 8:22 everything else is covered under the 7 year warranty.
This is not true, I have the H1, and I am 85 kg. No sagging. They will send you replacement items if needed.

Great breakdown! Expected a higher sub count from the video quality and sweet setup! How’s the chair now? After a good few months?
An easy way to up-market this chair is with a Lipsome Chrome base and Rollerblade casters. < $85.00 and dang, what a difference
Awesome review! Subscribe instantly! I just got my chair the other day and it’s absolutely amazing!
Appreciate you!!

how is it so far?
From Paris, thanks for this review
Thanks for the review. I'm wondering if this chair would fit under my desk though when folded down since there's only space for up 62cm.
Was very close to buying it, just the delivery timeframes put me off, ended up buying Haworth Fern, arriving today.
How is it going so far with haworth?
@@Gha.1 so much better than any of my previous chairs. So far, really good.
@@arthurzablockiofficial thanks
is it better then Secret Lab chair
?
Good review.
How do you feel about not having a cushion on the seat vs mesh on this seat??
Folding is nice but yeah you have a standing desk where you can store nearlY every chair under it 😂
What’s your height?
I have 195cm, sooo can’t sit comfortable in any chairs…
I’m 6 foot even, so I went with the “extra-high” option and it’s great
There is no warranty on the mesh. The12yr warranty is on certain parts, 7yr warranty on certain parts and no warranty on the mesh and armrests.
How about over time? Would this chair develop any annoying squeaking sounds while moving, turning or rocking back an forth?
I've had it for 140 days now, using it basically daily, and I'm liking it just as much as when I got it!
I had it for a year..no sounds...
That’s a lot of money for a chair like this.
I could go get a secret labs chair for less. Hmmm difficult.
and then feel like your sitting on a brick for few hours... got mine secret lab for some time now, that's why I'm tlooking for something else :)
