I wished my dad was understanding and supportive with my transition. I'm a MTF transgender and he doesn't accept me, but my mom does. I live a very HAPPY life as a woman and everybody accepts me for who I am, except my dad. He doesn't even talk to me anymore :(
I’m so sorry, I know how hard it can be when your parents disappoint you. Although I’m not transgender I had to cut ties with my parents because of their abusive behavior. I do have moments when I wish I had parents but I don’t delude myself into thinking that they were ever going to fill that need. I can live my life now without their undue influence, I found that to be the greatest gift I could have given myself. I hope the best for you

You dad seems so nice, bless him! This video can definitely make it easier for parents with trans kids to understand and accept it. We are still the same person on the inside, and it just helps us get more confident, which I would say should be a huge relief for a parent to see! My parents are also cool with it. I am non-binary and my mum even told me she could sense that I have never felt completely happy within myself as a female. I also came out to my friends and the rest of my family. Even my grandparents were very happy for me C: We are lucky to have such amazing people in our lives. Others are not so fortunate :c

But when he called you his son, i cried a little because i would give anything for my mum to call me her son, she is excepting and im pre everything so i understand her not being able to grasp it also (not for long, im starting T soon) but you have such amazing parents
Jamie. I watched Bride and Prejudice last night. The biggest thing that stood out was the ignorance and hate from some of the older generations/parents etc. It made me sad and angry. However it's very eye opening and I feel that the programme painted a happy positive picture of the people in their various situations of which the programme was exploring. Also you and Shaaba are the cutest and happiest couple. I hope that Shaabas family will learn and become more supportive. I feel sorry that Shaaba has to deal with that as well as yourself, not just the transphibia but the racial discrimination as well, but it's so amazing how strong you both are. On top of that I just want to say...your parents are wonderful and it totally makes sense given what a kind and caring human you have turned out to be. I love your channel, I'm not trans. I've never really had any issues with my own identity. But I've had close friends and relatives go through some things.its so important that there are people such as yourself making content which helps and educates others. I would say I'm bi or pan but only because just believe love is love and I could fall in live with someone just for being kind and wonderful regardless of gender identity. I have no question as to why Shaaba loves you. You are a gorgeous and kind man. I watch your channel because you are so good to watch. So funny. your dad looks awesome. and i absolutely love his skohwwtish aeukkssent. i like to do english accent because it sounds so queenish(and english accent here is the one that is characterized as "accent of the posh" so there is more exposure). though i like to do all cuz they all sound so different and have such funny inflections for the vowels. least i do is the US accent though. cuz i guess mine is the closest to that(with bits of joy lock club thrown in) and the nasally cramping of tongue to the back of throat feels quite unnatural to me, but so does the "lazy tongue" placement for the australian and NZ accents. FUN TIMES!!!!!!!!! i like to repeat after people with strong accents like does a babe fresh out of Mother :D
