UPDATE November 17th, 2021: Many of you are probably thinking "his LED low beams are blinding other drivers because there aren't any projectors. What an inconsiderate person." You're right. After almost 2 years of blinding people, I took my low beams out and replaced them with stock halogens. You might be asking some questions right about now: "Why not just install projectors so you can run your LED lights and not blind people?" Simple. I don't like how projectors look on this car. All the projector housings I've seen for this car look strange to me, and I just simply don't like how they look. So because I prefer the look of the stock housings, the halogens have gone back in. "What about your high beams? Are you changing those to halogen too?" No. High beams, whether LED or halogen, blind people anyway because they are so bright, that's kinda the purpose they serve. I like the high beams I installed, and will be keeping them. When they're off, they don't blind people, and when they're on nobody's in front of me. "Does this mean I shouldn't install LED bulbs on my car?" You do what you want to your car. I wouldn't recommend installing LED low beams without projectors because the beam shatters, but at the end of the day, your car means your choice. Thanks for reading, and thanks for watching the video!
Hi Will.just today I replaced the halogen using the same exact LED that you have posted with the link,so far we like it specially my wife.I've been observing like a slight flickering in the LED,are you seeing the same?
When I had them I had no flickering issues, but I also disabled my Daytime Running Lights. I don’t have a video on the DRL delete, but there are some other videos covering it. Should be noted that if you go that route, your automatic lights are also disabled.
Bro that's dope. It looks wayyy better with the LEDs. I just got a 2003 Toyota Corolla and I want to first give a tune up And focus under the hood first make sure all is well and running in tip top shape.
People, instead of blinding other people, as even Will has admitted, invest in projectors. Still not enough? Install fog lamps. Imma buy them in warm white because they really go with the aesthetic of my sun beam silver corolla.
Hi, I hope you see this comment/question... how did you manage to get your map lights out? any tips/tricks will help.. mine is refusing to come out. Im using a nose pliers and tried other things that would help it stick.. but not working.. Im planning to swap them with LED as well.
Did you have to install the new relay for the low and high beams? I want to install low, high, and the dome light and I’m not sure if I need to do anything else besides simply installing the new led lights to those three areas
you mentioned load resistors for the blinkers. one thing someone who really digs through circuits figured out is you can pop the plastic cap on the blinker relay and grind a bit off a piece of metal that looks like a paper clip to slow the flash. i havent delved into it but assume(?) the circuit compared the resistance of a calibrated "resistor" in the flasher relay to rhe resistance of the circuit? i use a dremel and just breath on the "paper clip" resistor piece while using the blinkers until i get the flash rate that is acceptable. its some soft metal as it grabs the dremels grinding disc if you go too fast. you can return to "stock" by soldering what you cut out edit: watching more of your video. you have the skill to mod just eatched your turbo video, on the lights on cheaper cars it is nice to cut the wires and put in led strips, your trunk can shine, you can add switches the trunk and be able to light a small area behind the car if you need. also, lighting the footwells and under the doors when you open them is pretty nifty. lexus-like and a led strip thats 10 20 feet long is 10 bucks on alibaba or ebay? 😁
I find that a good way of removing bulbs is to use some electrical sleeving pushed firmly over the bulb then pull. I keep some different sizes for this purpose. Great video.
For fog lights: Do I need to replace the fog light housing? I have read on auto forums a couple of things: 1) that LED lights will scatter unless you have the proper housing, and (2) as one poster stated, anything over 19w and you run the risk of melting the housing. Don't know if these are accurate, but figured they knew more than me since they put it on the internet. :/ thanks
When I installed the LEDs, I had no issues with the lights scattering, so I figure that the OEM housing would be fine to use with LED bulbs. I wouldn’t be surprised if 19w bulbs would cause melting problems, but LEDs run cooler than halogen bulbs do.
I hope you adjusted your headlights after this. Anytime you change the optic you will change the height the light is aimed at. This case looks to be much higher than stock due to excess glare. Just aim then down a bit. These optics were never meant to control that amount of light. So most likely you’re blinding everyone until you adjust them.
How are your low beams LED bulbs holding up? I bought ones from Amazon 9006 HONCS brand, and experiencing flickering after four months. I’m trying to find ones that don’t flicker.
I ran my low beams for about 2 years with no flickering issues at all! I only replaced them because they were too bright and I instead want to run LEDs with retrofitted projectors but during the time I had them I was pretty happy with them!
These are awesome! Especially the links and the Relay! I'll definitely put that on as well. Thanks. I was actually thinking of putting 9006 LED on the lowbeam but for now i'll also stick with halogens as they are already sufficient for brightness. The rest though can go LED. Thanks again!
What kind of Led head light lamps did you install, if you could please write description because I want to swap my 2008 corolla halogen lights to leds? Appreciate it.

Awesome video will! Thank you. Question? I replaced my daughters low beam bulbs with LEDs and now when the DRL are on they flicker. When low beam is activated they do not flicker. Did you run into this and I there a proper fix for this?
I'm following your other LED video, everything is going great except the map lights are so dang hard to get in and out. 😢 Thanks for listing the parts in the description!
I attempted to install all 4 3157A bulbs for signals and I couldn't get the front ones to not blow a parking light fuse... got the rears working fine.. anything you know that could be causing the issue? putco leds all around, matching of course... I was thinking of trying other bulbs but not sure if it would even work
I'm honestly glad in the newer Corollas they made the low and hi beams one bulb. I'm getting fog lights for my iM in the next couple of weeks and i'm planning on going back to LEDs for the headlights since when it rains, I can't see! And i hate hitting bumps and having the right headlight flash. I do wish my third brake light and side markers were replaceable bulbs, but Toyota gotta be Toyota and have permanent LEDs in them.. lol

Hey, have you still been using this LEDs especially for the low beam, i am planning to upgrade my corolla too, but wanted to know if they are going to last...
hey love the video. im thinking of doing the same. my LEDs i used for another car on the reverse and plate light are getting dull. quick tip if you put your Ebreak on you could check the reverse lights. its not safe but youd be fine. quick question what year is this corolla and were those headlights just plug and play or did you already have upgraded connectors?
You can most likely find all of the bulbs on amazon, and if you need the part numbers a quick google search should provide you the answers. Should be plug and play. Thanks for the comment!
I had Spec D housings at one point on this car (I believe they were spec d anyway.) They used the stock size of bulb, so if you are referring to the non HID housings then these should fit just fine. I don't have any experience with HIDs though, so I don't know if these work there.
I deleted my rear window brake light since I have the 3rd brake light on the spoiler, so I didn’t include it in the video. That light is also easily swapped though, I’m sure other videos or forums will have that information. Thanks for the comment!

I’ll think about it, I plan on doing an auto to manual swap at some point but that might take a while so I may swap those lights, didn’t know they were also 194, thanks for the info!

My car doesn’t have a light for the glove box, if I’m honest, I didn’t know it had the option for one. I’ll take a wild guess and say that it might be a 194, but I have no idea
@@WillChang, It's a completely different type of bulb. If you're interested in looking into it here's the Corolla part number: 90981-11018 . Tried to search for it online and Amazon and I couldn't find anything
Nope! It’s one or the other, so you either replace the relay or install load resistors, no need to do both. The relay is a much easier option which is why I recommend it
Here it is: www.amazon.com/gp/product/B00NUEZTL8/ref=ppx_yo_dt_b_search_asin_title?ie=UTF8&psc=1 2 years later and still working great, would recommend!
Hey, I just inherited my mom's 2006 Corolla CE. It's gonna be replacing my daily mk7 gti sport when the lease is up. The LED list is amazing thanks for the info. I have to replace the head unit and the speakers cuz they're weak af. Lol one quick question about your cluster guage, is it after market? Or do you have led bulbs in it too? It looks much whiter and brighter then mine.
@@WillChang is yours an s model? Maybe mine are just really old. Lol maybe they're just really crappy on the base model cuz mine don't look anything like yours. Lol
@@WillChang sorry to bomb you with comments but I just read this on a forum:: 2003-2004 LE have white gauges. 2005-2008 LE have hidden black faced gauges with white numbers. There is no comparison. The Optitron gauges look like they float in the cluster.
So I got the same turn signal lights for my 2004 Toyota Corolla LE and they don’t seem to fit. I push really hard and it still doesn’t go in all the way and click. The rear turn signal lights work but the front two are the ones that won’t fit. Anyone know what the problem might be?
I had to use a fair bit of force to push my front turn signals in, the rear ones also needed some force for me, not sure exactly how to fix it since mine were able to go in
The easiest way will definitely be to replace the relay with one that’s LED compatible, I bought an adjustable speed relay from Amazon, and it’s worked great. You also have the option of wiring in resistors to each corner, but it’s more work, and resistors do get hot so you’d need to install it somewhere where it isn’t likely to burn through and damage anything. Definitely recommend changing the relay though, much easier and cheaper.
Bro can u help me out. I want to get led lights for my 2005 corolla. But i got daytime running lights. Wat led lights can i get that would be a daytime running light and would get brighter when i do turn on my headlights manually.

Hello will can you please help me.i have a 2007 toyota corolla.and everytime i turn on my lights my fuse for the cluster keeps blowing can you help me out pls thanks bro. (Ps.i changed all my turn signal lights to led)
I’m going to be honest, I don’t know why that’s happening for you, I’ve never had that issue with my car. Maybe a short somewhere that’s doing it, lights switch or somewhere on the cluster. Sorry this probably isn’t much help, but I honestly don’t know
You can take the middle part off and the bulbs will be visible, you can use a flathead screwdriver to take the bulbs out. I made a video swapping those bulbs a couple months ago, here’s the link: th-cam.com/video/M45sqE1ozXw/w-d-xo.html
I did a drl delete before I did the led install by cutting the yellow wire that leads to the drl box and grounding it, there’s some videos on how to do it if you’re interested in going that route. Otherwise I doubt there will be any issues with the drl
@@WillChang thanks for your reply im going to have to do it because i have hids nd i gotta have them on all the time probably fonna have to cut tht wire is the # 12 right?
Sounds like a fuse or relay went out, I heard there’s a particular relay that can cause this kind of problem due to it coming loose but can’t remember which one
Resistors are mainly to counter the hyperflashing of LED turn signals, but I'd always recommend a relay over resistors since it's less work and reversible. No other light would need to use resistors

These are the low beam bulbs I used: www.amazon.com/gp/product/B01N01QCVM/ref=ppx_od_dt_b_asin_title_s01?ie=UTF8&psc=1
These are the high beam bulbs I used: www.amazon.com/gp/product/B07WCSJQYC/ref=ppx_yo_dt_b_asin_title_o06_s01?ie=UTF8&psc=1
Direct swap for both, car went through a drl delete but pretty sure the bulbs don't work with drl anyway since they didn't in my Camry
I got pulled over cop said dang your lights are bright I said sorry about that he said your good just don't blind anyone have a good night
What about the glove box light? Do you know what led bulb that is? Having trouble finding that online
Is it only Relay ? Or do i gotta get one for the back lights too?
I believe you need one only, did you get it out. Its behind your coin box.
@@adivasi6894 i bought the same relay device you got and it worked bro! I love my Corolla S 2007 broo
@@Almighty.Dog818 I been trying to get it out, seems hard. Any advise?
@@adivasi6894 i hired a mechanic to do it for me bro. Check your local mechanic
@@Almighty.Dog818 k,thx
If I got a relay for the led turn signals do I still need load resisters?
Nope! It’s one or the other, so you either replace the relay or install load resistors, no need to do both. The relay is a much easier option which is why I recommend it
Any link as to where i can get that hood damper?
Here it is: www.amazon.com/gp/product/B00NUEZTL8/ref=ppx_yo_dt_b_search_asin_title?ie=UTF8&psc=1
2 years later and still working great, would recommend!
What about the gauge cluster? Will you change the bulbs for that too?
I’m thinking about changing the bulbs for the cluster too, but at the same time, I don’t mind how the gauges look as is
Will these led bulbs fit my Toyota Corolla 2009 Le??
They most likely will, I don’t think Toyota would’ve switched to another bulb size for these
where did you get the rearview mirror with lighting? 🤔
The rearview mirror has always had map lights on it, maybe it's a factory option? idk I thought it was standard
eBay $55
Go to junkyard and get it for $15 like I did lol
LE’s and up come with it
Does your car have a sunroof?
Wat yr. Is ur corolla?
What should i tell to the local market if im gonna use a led light to my altis 9th gen too. I want a plug n play just like yours
Not sure, sorry, I bought my lights from amazon. I have the links in the description if you're able to access them that have the brand names
My gauge cluster is stock, bulbs were never changed, maybe it could just be the camera tricking your eyes? Good luck with your Corolla!
@@WillChang is yours an s model? Maybe mine are just really old. Lol maybe they're just really crappy on the base model cuz mine don't look anything like yours. Lol
@@WillChang sorry to bomb you with comments but I just read this on a forum::
2003-2004 LE have white gauges.
2005-2008 LE have hidden black faced gauges with white numbers. There is no comparison. The Optitron gauges look like they float in the cluster.
It’s no problem lol, my rolla is an 07 LE, not an S btw. Pretty good find with the forum info too!
Thanks for the video, I want to do the same in my 2003 Corolla
So I got the same turn signal lights for my 2004 Toyota Corolla LE and they don’t seem to fit. I push really hard and it still doesn’t go in all the way and click. The rear turn signal lights work but the front two are the ones that won’t fit. Anyone know what the problem might be?
I had to use a fair bit of force to push my front turn signals in, the rear ones also needed some force for me, not sure exactly how to fix it since mine were able to go in
@@WillChang Thanks for the reply!
Hi i changed my corolla to LED but the signal blinking too fast you know how to fix it?
The easiest way will definitely be to replace the relay with one that’s LED compatible, I bought an adjustable speed relay from Amazon, and it’s worked great. You also have the option of wiring in resistors to each corner, but it’s more work, and resistors do get hot so you’d need to install it somewhere where it isn’t likely to burn through and damage anything. Definitely recommend changing the relay though, much easier and cheaper.
@@WillChang can you give me the part number of the relay please thanks
What year and make was this Toyota in video?
It’s a 2007 Corolla
@@WillChang thanks 😊
I wish you would have shown the packaging or linked directly to Amazon products.
Sorry, I've updated the description to include the links for the products that I used. Thanks for your comment
Do the led low beams flicker with your DRL on?
I did a DRL delete on this car, but from my experience with the DRLs on my Camry after leds I’m guessing the DRL just won’t come on at all
@@WillChang did you ground it when you deleted the drl ?i see people grounding and some not. I have an 07 and wanted to delete drl
Bro can u help me out. I want to get led lights for my 2005 corolla. But i got daytime running lights. Wat led lights can i get that would be a daytime running light and would get brighter when i do turn on my headlights manually.
I’m honestly not too sure, I disabled my DRLs so I wasn’t too concerned about this. You may need to check forums or something, but not sure I can help much, sorry
@@WillChang wat year is your corolla? and can please make a vid about how to disable daytime running lights
@@quintonmuna On my 2005 CE Corolla it's a red/white striped wire. I just snipped it and added black electric tape on both ends.
I have the same exact car and color..
Does anybody know why my headlights are
Flickering while I'm driving?? So irritating!
I have HID installments
Did you get the resistors? Look them up, I can't remember the exact name
He mentioned it, they're called load resistors lol
@@andrewlopez6225 it has been doing good for years. It started happening when my left light went out
Hello will can you please help me.i have a 2007 toyota corolla.and everytime i turn on my lights my fuse for the cluster keeps blowing can you help me out pls thanks bro.
(Ps.i changed all my turn signal lights to led)
I’m going to be honest, I don’t know why that’s happening for you, I’ve never had that issue with my car. Maybe a short somewhere that’s doing it, lights switch or somewhere on the cluster. Sorry this probably isn’t much help, but I honestly don’t know
@@WillChang oh okay thanks bro
Because when i changed my bulbs to stock the fuse doesnt pop
How do you remove the coin box to get at the relay?
You can squeeze the sides of the coin box and it'll pop out, just be careful not to squeeze it too hard or you might break it
Hey Rodney, How did you remove the relay. ?
Thanks for your help keep making videos plz I am working with u on my Corolla 2005
Thanks for the kind words! I don't plan on stopping, best of luck with your '05!
Are you running DRL
No I did a DRL delete before I did the LED swap
What type are the fog lights?
9006, I’ll add the number and amazon link in the description
How do replace the climate control lights?
You can take the middle part off and the bulbs will be visible, you can use a flathead screwdriver to take the bulbs out. I made a video swapping those bulbs a couple months ago, here’s the link: th-cam.com/video/M45sqE1ozXw/w-d-xo.html
Any problem with the low beam drl ? Since u put leds ?
I did a drl delete before I did the led install by cutting the yellow wire that leads to the drl box and grounding it, there’s some videos on how to do it if you’re interested in going that route. Otherwise I doubt there will be any issues with the drl
@@WillChang thanks for your reply im going to have to do it because i have hids nd i gotta have them on all the time probably fonna have to cut tht wire is the # 12 right?
I believe #12 is correct, it should be yellow
@@WillChang one last question did u grounded the wire after cutting it?
@@cesaralvarez1207 Yep, I believe I grounded the part of the wire that comes out from the drl box, otherwise the drl and auto lights won't turn off
My whole dashboard and rear lights won’t come on no more
Sounds like a fuse or relay went out, I heard there’s a particular relay that can cause this kind of problem due to it coming loose but can’t remember which one
RIP headlight beam patterns
What about tail lights?
Those were already taken care of since I installed Corolla Altis tail lights that were already LED
Do u know whats the bulb number?
Can u imagine I came here for fog lights
H7 led 8000k are bright asf on mine hahahaha ❤❤ did all mine last week looking good 👍
idk if u would still comment is it worthnit
It's worth it if you think it's worth it! It's all personal preference, I'm quite pleased with the LED swap but at the end of the day it's up to you!
Please answer me. Thanks
blinding everyone now because you didn't changing the housing
No no no. Take the leds out they are not meant for that. You need a retrofit. Upgrade the whole headlight for leds.
How do you know when you have to install resistors when installing LEDs.
Resistors are mainly to counter the hyperflashing of LED turn signals, but I'd always recommend a relay over resistors since it's less work and reversible. No other light would need to use resistors
@@WillChang thanks for the info. Much appreciated.
This bulbs works on drl and turn signals both?
The turn signals bulbs that you use, work on drl mode and turn signals both?
