People talk about ecosystem, but you can have your ecosystem and still use your android phone for personal use. It is not hard at all.
Ever since 2019 Ive been using a mbp, ipad pro, and airpods together with an android phone and watch. There’s literally 0 hiccups, best of both worlds.

You can definitely mix devices, but for many people the ecosystem of Apple isn’t just owning other Apple devices, it’s their friends and family owning them. It’s not solely iMessage, but FT, sending stickers, sharing information, passing videos and pictures back and forth at a party with airdrop in a few seconds.
Copy and pasting between your iPad, computer, and phone seamlessly, and even having location based reminders, and travel time features when making a calendar appointment are incredibly important to a user like me; unfortunately Android lacks a travel time calendar feature, and location based reminders.
Apple built a system of sharing that is now difficult to ask people to step away from.

The anti reflective screen is something I really wasn't bothered with at all, but it turned out to be one of the best things about this phone, and the WiFi 7 is also amazing.

I absolutely agree with you about the screen. You just can't explain how much nicer it looks. The best way I can explain it is. It's like looking at paper vs looking at a screen.

I just got mine in custom orange and man this phone is amazing. battery life is phenomenal. I also got the 1TB so I'm throwing everything at this phone. It runs YUZU amazing and plays the new GTA definitive games at max resolution with high frame-rate. I can run PS2 emulation at ease as well. This phone will do anything!! The phone is smooth and feels well engineered. I really got it for the higher processing power. this is the best I've seen android run. Unless the snapdragon 8 gen4 makes a giant leap next year I'm keeping this for a while.

I had an iPhone since 2009 with the iPhone 3g. Just made the switch to the Galaxy S24 ultra. I had the phone for about 4 days and I love it. I don't regret switching at all. At first it was complicated but once you get the hang of it, you'll love the phone.
Same here, and now I have fully switched over to the Samsung ecosystem after over 10 years in iOS. For me, it's a step up on every device. No regrets after 6 months.
@@JMJAZZR51 yeah, same here, I got the eae buds. I'm thinking about getting the galaxy watch. The only issue I have is the group texts that I'm in. Everyone is on imessege and now I don't get all texts and they get 2 separate group texts.
I like to go no case as well, but i hate putting the phone down on the camera lenses. Waiting for the arc pulse to release for the s24u. Have you seen those?
Next week finally the update and first time mention from samsung that there is an issue with moving objects AND it will be better with it.

Hey, I noticed that the 5x zoom with 12 megapixels takes better pictures than when you switch to 5x zoom with 50 megapixels.

I love this S24U, a pure masterpiece of engineering by Samsung. But it's too damn big and boxy, I couldn't use it... that's the reason why I got a regular S23 and I hope Samsung will continue to put out "small" top phones.
Don't sleep on the s24+. I have it and it's 🔥 I so totally recommend it.
I thought the same, I went from s22, to s23 plus, to s24 ultra. At first I thought it was too big but after about 3 days I got used to the size and I love this phone!

Ecosystem = iMessage
Samsung has its own ecosystem, and it works just fine. My tablet, phone, watch, airbuds, M8 monitor, and laptop all work together seamlessly so.....
I made the switch from the Samsung Galaxy S23 Ultra to the Samsung Galaxy S24 Ultra and I have no regrets. Both devices are incredibly powerful and capable smartphones in their own right.
My S24 Ultra is the phone I use more often than not these days!

Mine gets heated quickly when my heater is on in the house, and it is the only phone that does that among the three phones I use.

Its funny how most of my friends are not into tech as I am and they all think that iphone are so superior. I tried explaining to them, but they just don't get how Androids are good nowadays. I propably sound like a crazy fanboy, but I'm the only one on my circle who has tried both androids and iphones. While their experience with androids was a long time ago when they had no money to get a good one, so the only good phone they ever had in their lives were iphones. But I would take an well rounded Android any day over an iphone.

I had a friend of mine who said he can charge his iPhone in 10 minutes with his lightning cable. Wtf are you smoking dude? They literally have no idea.
They all had cheap androids in middle/high school they crapped out and they all switched to the highest iPhone at the moment and compared the two hence never going back to android. I had an argument with a friend, she used the Samsung J6+ and switched to the iPhone 11 and claimed Samsung sucks and will always suck. Not only the J6+ was an older phone but the processor and storage speeds were much much lower than the iPhone. Now she thinks my S24 Ultra will crap out after 2 years because of her experience on the J6+. This is how a lot of Apple users are wired. They used a cheap android phone when they were younger, switched to the best iPhone at the time and claimed it superiority. They'll forever believe androids are for broke people who can't afford and iPhone and they'll resent android user for the green bubbles. They'll install a million apps for photo and video editing until their storage is full but God forbid they install one extra messaging app like whatsapp or telegram. It's like a taboo thing but their storage is always full with other apps...
😅😂🤣 Well to be honest right now some of Samsung lower end models compare more with Apple pro max. Think about it. Any low end model android has fast charging and some even have reverse charging pro max has neither. Think about that and they wouldn't even have USB-C if they weren't forced by law to have it rn SMH. There is no excuse in 2024 to not have those industries standard features that by the way already been around for awhile now it's ridiculous 😑 🙄 no excuse. Today I compared 15pro max and s24 ultra. I currently have 13 pro max and man that s24 ultra sure have my attention… 😁 I ordered one… you can’t even compare s24 ultra with iPhone simply the iPhone look dull and just 💀 compare to s24.. I’m super stoked about this phone.. can’t wait!! 😝

Yes my friends s23 ultra pictures are blurry, he asked me how I get perfectly clear pictures on my 15 pro max every single time, I told him I simply point, and press one button 😂 that’s why I love iPhones, they just work 😄
@foetor oh no face ID 😂😂😂 I hardly ever use it on any of my androids and my s24u. Fingerprint sensor is just easier to get to and unlock.
My photos and videos of my kids are insanely crystal clear. I came from an s21u and it blows those cameras out of the water.
If you have an iPhone 11 PM, you pretty much have used a 15 PM 😂

May I ask why Samsung insists on keeping Bixby if they are adding Google Assistant and Gemini into their software?
Samsung usually builds alternative apps to Google services as a "just in case" measure. Remember huawei. Plus, without bixby, you can't get exclusive features such as text call, which before was only on pixel phones

Anyone struggling with the finger print sensor on the s24 ultra? Mine is a hit and miss. I registered my finger print after applying a glass screen protector. I might take it off and register it again

Samsung partnered with Instagram to introduce HDR+ to uploading to instagram. You're better off using the native camera app for photos and videos and upload it later to instagram. Also in the camera settings make sure to enable HDR10+ and other high quality settings, same on instagram, make sure to enable upload high quality and you'll see a huge improvement over the iPhone. Many reviewers seem to ignore this.
Besides youtubers I actually don't know anyone who used Iphone and switched to latest Samsung.

Mark Mark Mark... you need to be careful when trying to leave the cult of Apple. First you stated too many facts in opposition to the Apple. Apple cult don't like that. You are supposed to do the same song and dance the other TH-camrs do when they are trying to leave Apple. TH-camrs: yes the IPhone is still better ( even though they still don't have fast charging or multitasking and just got USB-C on the phone plus many other things but do not have time to write fifty pages ) I just want to try it because of this feature and make sure to say it's gimmicky and of no real use like all of Apples features. I do prefer Android. Indeed I use a Windows laptop and a fenix watch. I realy hate iphone prison... and that ugly notch, bah! But faceid + magsafe + video made the decision for me.
The s24 ultras face ID is pretty fast maybe faster than my iPhone 13 which is also fast at opening.

I hardly ever use face ID on my android. Fingerprint is just so much more convenient. Torras makes a magnetic mag safe type case that works perfectly. And I mean my video is absolutely stellar. Iphone is just so annoying to use imo. I have numbers, letters and symbols all on my main keyboard page. Literally so easy to text, unlike iphone where you have to flip through multiple pages to do it. What a joke. And no fast charging 😂😂

But the camera is a disappointment for me.

This phone is lasting longer than my Iphone 15 Pro Max. But so did the Iphone 14 Pro max. Apple battery took a little hit with always on display being added to name a few.

I've run android and iOS in parallel for years. Android has not "caught up" to iOS.... it's been ahead for a while now. What iOS does, is take features from years past, distill them into a more limited, but easy-to-use package, and then release it on great hardware. That's probably going to make iPhone fans foam at the mouth, but there's nothing wrong with that tactic. It's OK to admit the OS is more limited and Android has more features / customization - that's obviously not important to a lot of people. There's value in having a phone as an appliance. It's like bumpers at the bowling alley, either way, the ball makes it down the lane.

My iPhone 15 Pro Max doesn’t heat at all, lasts all day, is incredibly smooth, has a more visual appearance on Carplay than Android Auto, and does not require configuration“tips” to save battery as the S24 does.
I can get TH-cam premium and Spotify free via hacks, you can't do it as easily or at all on iPhone because you can't sideload apps, and the process is a major pain, I've done it before.
That's a savings of $30ish a month. Over 12 months, it's the more economic choice.
Ecosystem should not come into the conversation when you're reviewing a phone. I'm buying a device not a lifestyle.
The iPhone doesn't amount to anything when you take it out of its eco system. Putting the iPhone head to head as a stand alone device with the s24 ultra is a death sentence for apple. Put the iPhone into its eco system, different story.
Tried the s24 ultra and the phone is just insane. Unfortunately my house has 8 HomePods, Apple TV, iMac and my wife and kids all have an iPhone so I can’t make the switch as all my other tech is pretty much useless for me. Apples eco system is a dangerous beast. My advice to anyone don’t buy into it. Once your in it’s hard to get out unless you have deep pockets and can change or your home smart kit etc.
That's why I always went the Google route with smart home products, or third party. I definitely miss my Apple watch after switching to the S24 Ultra, but my other Apple products I can still use without a hassle.

I have the iPhone 15 Pro Max and was tempted to hold out for the S2 four ultra, but I needed an improved phone from the S2 one ultra which was given me reception problems. Now whether I stick with the 15 Pro Max or upgrade to the 16 pro max or S2 five ultra will depend on whether or not the 16 comes with more zoom? I need at least 50 X and if16 doesn’t give me that then 25 here I come

I find my display looks amazing and i had the 23 ultra. Maybe a few phones have an issue.
They purposely left it in natural mode, there's no actual issue with the screen.
No display problems here, but some vivid update is coming.
Heat management is pretty horrible in my opinion. My s24U heats up a lot on video call or while am using the camera for other stuffs. Another thing i noticed is the battery also drains faster during video calls. Idk if am the only one having these issues but i'm regretting of buying it already.

I have a Mac mini, MacBook Air, iPad, iPhone, Apple Watch, and AirPods. It is magical and mostly pain free. The phone is one of the most important links in this so I won't be switching to Android.
I broke free from the apple ecosystem. got rid of my iphone, apple watch and ipad. feels so much better to be out of that ecosystem prison

i have everything except the apple watch and still bought the s23 ultra. Put your google service on your apple devices (icloud is inferiour to the google service) and your good to go. Thanks to samsungs dolby atmos, my airpods sound even better now and still connect seemless to my samsung.
