Aw sweet. Good to see another old wishbone gated crossing here, Michael. :) Man I miss the wishbone styled gates. Hope they can stick around a bit longer.. Phenomenal video mate,
Amazing job! I noticed one of the bells in the first activation appeared to have stopped after only a few rings! I’m not sure HOW long these Westinghouse Hybrids are going to be able to hang on for..
It’s a common occurrence on Victorian crossings, not sure if it’s due to the type of flasher relay used or the way it’s wired up, but certainly doesn’t look good
Nice to see these hybrid bells hanging on. Also, I'm currently on holiday in Shepparton (though staying in Mooroopna). Enjoying it over here, but driving over the crossings in the town (especially High Street) makes me feel sad, considering what nice equipment used to be at them before they all got upgraded with the usual stuff we see today. At least Wyndham Street still has regular crossbucks at it, and I wouldn't mind you filming it. On the otherhand, I do plan on going up north tomorrow to photograph the disused stations at Numurkah, Strathmerton, and Cobram. At least there's still some gateless crossings beyond Shepparton, plus I did find some 1980s era V/Line and PTC signage at Shepparton station.
Hope you enjoy your holiday! It's lucky there are some good crossings remaining further north towards Tocumwal, but the ones in Shepparton certainly are boring and I wouldn't waste my time with them. Perhaps you should film Wyndham St while you're there? It could get red crossbucks any time and I certainly won't be filming it.
@@McKHAust The only downside is that it can be hard to film the crossings beyond Shepparton due to a lack of passenger trains, though as you said, there's still some old gateless set ups at Numurkah and Katunga which hopefully you can film one day. Still, I don't know if I'll be able to film Wyndham Street, but I still think it's worthy of you filming it if you're ever up here again as it's not often you find a cantilever set up at a regional crossing.
Great video and crossing! Love those hybrids!

Thanks Josh :)
Great video and crossing! Love those Hybrids! Do I see another crossing with a similar install further down the tracks in one of the shots?
Great Video! Poor Tempremental Hybrid Bell :(
Thanks!
Nice vid MCK&H

Seems like the flasher relay or LEDs are a bit faulty, staying partially on when they shouldn't be

@@TrickyMario7654 I been to Shepparton before and I think the level crossing is unused I think
Is that the only crossing with hybrid bells in the Frankston area now
The next crossing down is Golf Links Rd which still has hybrid bells, also Eramosa Rd at Somerville
Is that Level Crossing on the Stony point line?
Yes
Bah dont tell me you're Secretly a Hybrid between a Enderman & a human who just so happens to have Water Immunity!
Also first
Yes, you guessed it
