    With the non Cricut brand coasters, I was able to use the infusible ink by placing it face up in my heat press. I tried face down and it came out as yours. By placing them face up, they turned up beautifully.

    II is just a substitution for sublimation for those who dont have a sub printer, sub ink, and sub paper. They both require polyester blanks. The higher the count the better the results. They both need to be pressed at 400 degrees for at least 60 seconds.

    Why can't they drop the price - its not hard to figure out with a distributor. the more volume you sell the price should go down and GET IT out of Michaels and offer it in other stores too...AND cricut needs to come out with a better INK to work with all material types

  • @pamgrat5126

    Could it be because the Cricut shirt is a brighter white? Small design has to compete with all that bright white around it?

  • @lunasmum6869
    @lunasmum6869 4 ปีที่แล้ว +3

    If something seems too good to be true then it probably is too good to be true. Buying cheap sublimation blanks is false economy. All those tote bags for that price says it all really. I wouldn't have tried to put the infusible ink on a product which didn't say what the fabric was made of. That tote certainly wasn't Polyester, or at least, not much polyester. The heat was melting it! So, I'm not really taken in by this comparison. The effect on the Cricut tote bag, though much brighter, didn't look all that good to me either. You can only compare successfully using blanks from a reputable company. Why did your Easy Press lose heat? You said it should be 385 degrees but I saw 370 degrees. That would make such a difference. Having said all that, thank you for this comparison. It has shown us all that 'bargains' are not all they are set up to be so you have taught us a lot and to beware so we won't fall into the trap. Cricut blanks are very expensive, too much for me. BTW you put the infusible ink on the back of the cheap coaster!

      You clearly haven't watched any of their other videos lol. They recommend AGAINST plenty of cricut products. They genuinely recommend what they believe is best value for your dollar... and I'm sure Cricut wouldn't have them putting out a "commercial " about being able to cut regular non-cricut vinyl at a much much better price, and use it successfully as smart vinyl without a mat!! Also.... in response to other comments... I'm not a rocket scientist but I wouldn't think that the little bit of movement at the beginning, on the tote wouldn't make any difference considering it wouldn't have been heated enough to really transfer in a second or two? If it did you'd see smudging... not faded patches!!! Duh. That's what cricut themselves advise in their own video. These girls and guys use cricuts and other products more than most of us do. Just saying. Quit being haters because she's got a rock on her finger the size of your misery 🤣🤣🤣 She kicks ass and puts out content all the time that's for the crafter. Yall unreal.

      There is a section in Cricut which tells you what temperature to use and how long for each kind of easy press. You just tell it which press you have and what material you are using and it tells you just what to do to get the best results. Yes, I think you would have to apply the Easy Press for longer but Cricut will tellyou. Look for Cricut Heat Guide.

    Not exactly a fair comparison!
    On the non Cricut brand tote bag you never put any pressure on the heat press whatsoever yet when demonstrating the same procedure using the Cricut tote bag you clearly applied pressure, albeit for several seconds but that extra pressure could have made a massive difference. So clearly you did not do the exact same for both bags. Try the same test but next time try to not apply ANY pressure when demonstrating the Cricut brand and apply the same level of pressure you applied on the Cricut tote bag (in this video) but this time on the non Cricut tote and see which looks the best.

      Makers Gonna Learn Thanks for clarification of terminology. Was not a comment meant as disrespectful to your videos (which are very good). Apparently the generic term “blank” was Cricut inspired; and people search under that term since Cricut put it out in the universe, and they want to know exactly what is meant by a “blank.” Thanks for clearing that up. Keep up the nice work!

    • @JMicheleS33

      I can tell you this too, because I’ve been a Cricut user for almost 20 years, I know every single TH-camr that receives a compensation from Cricut based on sales through their links (there’s only a few), they also receive all the new products for free.... and they wouldn’t dare show recorded reviews/tests using anything other than Cricut products.... So STOP with your judgmental, conspiracy theories. Your comments mark the 7th rude/bullying words left on several TH-cam channels this week alone, you have no clue what you’re talking about... and WORDS HURT! Rachael doesn’t have to do these tests, record them, do the editing and voiceovers and share with us (PLUS, she purchased everything herself), so at the very least, THANK HER or move along!

    • @Cooking4Two
      @Cooking4Two 4 ปีที่แล้ว +1

      @@JMicheleS33 Hy Jamie, thank you for your comment. I can see that you strongly support Rachel and I can admire that and I salute you for this.
      First of all, my apologies if my comment may have sounded to you very rude. I know the internet can be a cruel place, but sometimes we tend to read comments with a different connotation that makes them sound "mean". But I can asure you that I am a 35 year old business woman. I absolutely have no time to act like a child and buly someone. When I give someone a comment or a constructive criticism, I expect them to take it profesionally. And I trully hope that Rachel sees my comment so that she may adjust her video to make it seem more equal. She may be paid by Cricut or get free materials but still what the viewers want to see is a fair and equal demostration. So if you're going to make 2 pies I expect you to pour 2 cups of flour in both, not one based on the recipe and another 1.5 cups. You're going to get different results. And if you don't know any better you'll just blindly follow what they tell you is "best".
      I'm sure Rachel is a lovely person and if she trully is not being paid by cricut then she should perhaps consider next time she makes a video how to better display that both where equally tested.
      Have a great day Jamie. I wish you a great week. Festering over a comment is no way of spending a day. So I hope you were able to not let that get you down all day.
      Greetings!

      Lidia M. SC I can promise you I’ve NO TIME to “fester” over anything you or your fellow mean bullies have to say, I’m a nurse working on the front line, my time’s valuable and dedicated to saving lives, NOT to some petty nonsense like this! If you’re not part of the solution then you’re part of the problem, give that some thought, and if you’ve nothing nice to say, move along.
