What is the name of the appliance you used to hook the back cushion on the wall?

Fabulous demonstration and explanation for how you made your cushions. You gave me lots of things to consider for designing the type of cushions that will work best for me.

Oo, just saw this! I'm at the point of adding cushions for my bench, and I loooove your idea for attaching a thin profile seatback using a french cleat. Genius! Also genius is your idea for covering the wooden bench top with 4x4 flex flannel. I've been worrying about ways to do this, but now - problem solved!

building a van with my husband now!! we've left the cushions for the near end because of how daunting the task seems. this is the first video I feel like I've watched with such clear and easy instructions!! we have more cushions, and they're not quite the same...but I feel like I can do it now haha!!

wow you made that sound so simple, fair play, the cushions turned out great!
we're a fair way along on our mercedes sprinter build and I'm thinking about the seating now, thinking of building a frame across part of the sliding door (where others have their kitchen).
I have a single foam matress that I can cut the foam from to make cushions, however we dont have a sewing machine.
i was thinking of maybe having the seat base of plywood and then the foam on top, then our material wrapped around both the foam and the plywood and stapling the material on the back?
only downside is that the cover isnt removable but if it needs a clean I suppose we can always use upholstery cleaner?
    thanks
    aaron

Thank you so much, how exciting that you are getting so close to seats in your van build! I don’t see why that wouldn’t work, we have had the van for a year and have not needed to wash the cushions yet. I would just make sure to get a durable material that hides stains and you should be good to go! Thanks for watching ☺️

Hello, love your video and totally given me the confidence to try this myself. What I love even more though, is the fabric you've found. I am based in UK so not likely to get the same but if you could give me an idea of the description of what it's called I would be eternally grateful!

Why didn't you just make one big cushion? Either way great job on the cushions.

Damn you make it look so simple! Did you have sewing experience beforehand? Looks great! I think I'll take it to upholsterer because I'm working full time :(

    • @madetoexplore

I have a little sewing experience, but not a lot! It only took me an afternoon and was honestly fairly straightforward broken down into these steps. Thanks for watching☺️

What type of batting did you use? Lightweight?

    • @madetoexplore
      @madetoexplore  ปีที่แล้ว

We purchased a general batting from our local fabric store. Any batting should work!
