Thank you so much for these rapid-fire tips! This is exactly what I look for in a tips/how-to video. No countdowns, history of wire or ____ lessons, or unnecessary filler. Not only did I get a good solution to a specific management problem I have, but I got a couple of solutions for one I didn't realize I had. Fastest 4-minute video ever! Thumbs up and subscribed!

The History Of Wire lol. Ain't that the truth. These other videos have so much BS.

Genuinely, I thought I knew a lot about wiring, from working on a cable assembly line to designing runs for part of my job, but this was actually super educational for me. Awesome job!

3:20 well, there's a great reason to buy a cheap IKEA desk!
Love how informative, quick and how respectful your vids are to viewer's time! I really liked the heat shrink tip, never considered it for management!

For all the semi-permanent wires in my house I use the 3M Command (xmas) Light Clips. They’re wide enough to hold several wires or even a heavy duty extension cord, strong enough to hold the weight. I use them under my desk, behind furniture (media center, dressers, nightstands), and along baseboards & door trims.

Also try "Gaffer tape". Apply e.g. similar to the heat shrink, at spaced intervals. It does not leave a residue like electrical tape (at least in the short term, I did not try this for a decade or so!). Especially useful when the connectors are already on the cable so adding heatshrink is impossible. It feels like tesa 51025, but way cheaper. You can buy a big roll and it will last a lifetime. It is used to tape audio cables etc to podium floors and high-traffic walking areas, so it should be pretty wear-resistant. Also consider: spiral wrap. And "cable lacing" if you want to make MIL-spec stuff 🙂

That DBZ teleport at the end 🤣
That said thanks for all these pro tips! I didn't know about staple gunning zipties/velcro to the underside of desks, that's really smart!

I've used the donut trick for coding like colour cables. Green vs. green and white stripes

Hi, I am working on a project where I need to connect multiple separate led strips to an Arduino and a power supply. It is easy to figure out how to do one strip, but not multiple. I would love to see a video on that topic.

I use the cutting heat shink tubing into small rings quite often. I makes one small length of heat shrink last much longer over the length of a wire run
