    So youtube decided to MUTE the most imporrtant part of the video. the before and after video. used non copyrighted song and then the owner decided to copyright it. Apologies for the dissapointment. TO sum up, their is a big noticable difference . doesnt sound muted or cheap anymore and you wont regret the upgrade.

    Your video helped me get into the mindset even though I will likely be choosing a different product. On my 2014 Highlander, my non-jbl stock speakers have blown out after excessive heavy metal ;) Thanks for breaking all of this down. It was very informative! Looking forward to tearing out some old shitty speakers.

Great video, I ended up going a different route and bought skar TX35 tweeters($35) paired with an adapter from Amazon for $10 so I wouldn’t have to cut factory wires on my 2015 highlander xle Non-JBL. The tweeters fit perfectly with no bracket necessary and also it’s an a lot cheaper option for amazing sound!!

    • @Alex-dn5hi
      @Alex-dn5hi 2 ปีที่แล้ว

      First of all that top speaker is for highs and so was the OEM one. The fact that the highs are better now is giving you the illusion that low end is gone but it was never there to begin with.

    • @tbomb887
      @tbomb887 ปีที่แล้ว

      No. He is correct. This guy replaced what is more of a widebander with a dedicated tweeter. So I can almost guarantee there are frequencies that are not being played by the Kickers. The issue with the factory speaker is they get a little harsh above 8khz so initially it may sound better with the kicker. If you are someone who likes the ole smiley face eq curve then these kickera probably do sound "better".

    Definition of Plug and Play is -- Devices that are intended to work "perfectly" when first used or connected, installed, without reconfiguration or adjustment by the user. In your case of the front dash board speakers are no sound improvement worthy of ~$100 nor plug-N-play!

    • @randomrazr

      @@paultorres2423 the alternative is to use the proper size speaker from jbl, but u would either need to splice the wires and hard wire it or buy an adapter from tacotunes to keep the stock connectors. the way i did it in the video is the cheapest and easiest way. i tried the adapter harness and jbl speakers after the video, spent twice as much money and didnt get better sound improvement.
