Almost every trail decision is made with water in mind!!! This is especially vital in this part of the world where it averages 2909 mm (114.5 in) of rainfall per year. Therefore a lot of consideration must be made when planning and digging a trail so that water flow doesn't ruin the trail flow.
Our digging techniques and trail tread also need to done with this water flow in the forefront of our minds at all times. If it's pitched in the wrong direction it will catch water and cause puddles.
