    No helmets? awesome vid though. are you qualified in Sprata or Irata? Know of any companies looking to hire IRATA lv 1? based in south africa at the moment.

    Eek I can't decide if this looks terrifying or awesome. That first bit where the guy is going over the edge, my hands are clammy just watching from here!

    Typically, how often do you change out the ropes for new ones?

    Very cool job! nice work. What qualifications do you need to have? Or do you get on the job training? Would love to go to canada and work

      qualityelectronic thanks ! you can get on the job training to do basic high-rise window cleaning in alberta but some companies like mine want only people with either a sprat or irata rope access training cert. its helps with tricky rigging and is good for overall safety !

    Where do you guys get the water for cleaning? Do you fill up at the top? Doesn't the water get dirty on the way down?

    • @earthsskin
      @earthsskin 8 ปีที่แล้ว

      I also want to know if the water gets dirty. Do your cloth applicators also get dirty?

    • @AlgorhythmKid
      @AlgorhythmKid 7 ปีที่แล้ว

      Yeah it gets a bit dirty. Just fill it up wherever there is a tap. I usually change my water after every large drop. Or if they aren't too big I just top it up and add a bit more washing up liquid.

    Qeustion witch lvl of IRATA do i need to become a high rise window washer? i guess like level one will not be enough but more like Level 2-3 can someone explain?

    • @nimajeffeeko
      @nimajeffeeko  6 ปีที่แล้ว +1

      depends on which country you are in . for instance here in Alberta Canada you don't need any rope access training at all , just fall arrest. you can be trained on the job here, which in my opinion is not good for the industry. luckily for me the company I work for is quite progressive and try to get all their workers certified so we can preform rescues and do jobs that other companies in the city cannot. level 1 is fine for most buildings

    • @supertesla47
      @supertesla47 7 ปีที่แล้ว

      He's using what looks to be an SMC Ladder Rack descender. I use one myself for high rise window cleaning. I've heard they're better for taller buildings than a Petzl RIG or ID descender. I've only used the RIG for lower-level jobs

    • @nimajeffeeko
      @nimajeffeeko  6 ปีที่แล้ว

      yes as chase said I use a smc rack on most of the jobs I'm on as the ID wears out so fast . most of the buildings I do are 20 story + so its ideal for that .. I always carry a ID as a backup though

    • @Bassnectarable
      @Bassnectarable 9 ปีที่แล้ว

      Ah understand , but yeah i know helmets are uncomfy , but you know the best way always keep the chance of getting injured low. But it's good made certification . Keep goin'

      How's the rope acess industry looking this year,is there a shortage of workers or too many of them? and salary range beginner-experienced? in eastern Canada...

  • @dylanmcgowan3737
    @dylanmcgowan3737 6 ปีที่แล้ว

    fisrt thing I tought when you two went over the edge is why the fuck have you no helmets on. major discrepency!👎😂

    • @nimajeffeeko
      @nimajeffeeko  6 ปีที่แล้ว

      Yeah unfortunately there isn't much regulation in Alberta regarding working at heights. This was taken before we took our rope access course. I'd feel pretty naked without a helmet these days .
