    I'm watching this after Anwar was sworn in to become the 10th Prime Minister of Malaysia. Tears ran through my eyes while typing this, to see how everything unfolds and where we are today, hoping a better years ahead of Malaysia, lets go back to winning ways! Congratulations PM 10, Dato Seri Anwar Ibrahim.

    Who has more charm, beauty, elegance and indescribable talent than Nurul Izzah Anwar? She is an inspiration to many youths in general and millions of women in particular. Wish her all the best and may she success in delivering public trust entrusted upon her. As a student of IIUM, I congratulate her. Hope she will often visit this campus and teach us from her long struggle to freedom and upholding democracy

    I had the pleasure of having lunch with this remarkable young lady when she was 17 /18 in Broome Western Australia when the family were on a private visit. She asked me a pertinent question.."why did you leave Malaysia? did you not like Malaysia?" Dato Anwar was amused and waited for my answer...I replied in malay..." bukan tak-suka Malaysia..Tengku (Abdul Rahman) kata, kita mesti jadi rajin, jadi panjdai, nak kerja kuat. Say tak pandai, tak rajin, sangat malas. sebab itu lagi baik saya pergi ke-Australia. Di -sana tak kerja pun boleh dapat wang(dole)...Anwar smiled and said " you should be in politics ".... my reply was " tidak susah jangan cari susah...and we lunched. Good to see them on the come back trail.

  • @Armz69
    @Armz69 6 ปีที่แล้ว +25

    She is beautiful, wise, articulated, soft spoken and you can just feel her kindness. Obviously she went through a lot. We should reform our country to be more forward thinking, more transparent, respecting differences and celebrating talents and integrity rather than petty cronism. We need many more people like you, dear. I also believe that this change should also start with our own selves, only then true reformation would be successful. Because from what I see.. I used to be in public service and then in NGO and most of the people in it don't even have the slightest sense of duty to the country.. most of them even worked hard to snip away people with passion and integrity from the organization so that their own sorry asses would be safe.. it's just so depressing. Come on Malaysian, you should be inspired by people with great minds and work ethics, not felt threatened! then work hard to achieve that same greatness, not cut them down.

    What a great speaker! Anyways I didn’t care so much about the politics in Malaysia bcuz it only get me angry as they’re so much reformation (shall be done) but we can’t do anything. However NOW, I do hope to see Malaysia will move forward for serious improvement and PLEASE really look into EQUALITY for all races. Benefit not only (prioritise) for malays(bumi) but for all races. Equally. Example housing discount for bumi only. Why??? WE ARE ALL MALAYSIAN, aren’t we???

      I agree, but I hope that 'equality' will extend to private sectors too, so that the hardworking Malays and Indians can hold high ranking positions in Chinese dominated companies

      @@chobberoinkers11 Awesome reply. Malays should become the CEO of Chinese owned companies.

      She/He just thinking about the inequality in govt sector but keep his/her eye close in private sectors where dominated by certain race only. Why? We are all malaysian, aren’t t we?

    Just curious. So have we done anything to prevent abuse of power (by the police) or police brutality? How can we prevent stories like these from happening again?

    She can speak English very well. That's also true of many Malay politicians children and NGO. They know the importance of English but do they tell the rest of the Malays that. Will Anwar cakap sarupa bikin

      Nour Ibrahim... You are confused and fed with wrong information. Penan and Orang Asli are of different native tribes, dialects, geological populations.
      Penans are among the ORANG ULU ethnic group in Sarawak while the ORANG ASLI ethnics are predominantly found in Peninsular Malaysia.
