In case you are keeping Track this is Video # 140 of Classic Car ChitChat Videos!
I hope my Classic Car ChitChat videos make you smile. I do them in my spare time because I truly love cars and my intentions are simply to honour the beautiful cars I get to see and to really understand the passion and love of the vehicle by the driver (or caretaker as Jay Leno would say) of the car. I also understand too that my videos perhaps lack the polish calibre of great TH-camrs like: Doug DeMuro, Scotty Kilmer, and of course my favourite Supercar Blondie. I also know that I can’t even come close the quality & finish you get from the likes of Jeremy Clarkson and the boys at Top Gear. I think they use a little fancier equipment than my little iPhone… LOL
Mission Statement:
My Objective through creating these videos is to shine the spotlight on people who love their vehicles whether it be a car, motorcycle, or even a bicycle…. Bottom line is if it has wheels and you love it then let’s show that passion to the world!
Equipment Used:
Camera
Just an iPhone SE (Nothing fancy - which proves anyone can use whatever you have handy to make a video… you don’t need really expensive equipment)
I also use Insta 360X2 which is perhaps one of the best investments I have made and allows me to capture some really cool 360-degree views and also creates a “drone like” effect with the invisible selfie stick attachment.
Gimbal - DJI OM4 - For that ultra-smooth cinematic look. (To be honest... still not quite sure how to use it but one day I will figure it out!)
Audio - Rode Wireless GO II (I gotta be honest… this is really the biggest investment that was made… I wish there was a cheaper option but after the first couple of videos I soon realized that audio quality is important and hopefully better than the onboard mic on the iPhone!

OMG. A 5 speed with straight pipes plus a V8. This car just rocks and one of the coolest Porsche's around.
I agree Julia.
Most underrated Porsche ever made.
So true.
One of my favorite 928 designs and those lights still make me smile. One of the best engines around.
Thanks Steve
True too class performance. This guy knows his stuff too. Impressive!
Thanks Kai
Amazing car and great motor. Still turns heads today as it did when Porsche created this beautiful 89 S4.
Couldn't agree more!

Round nut, thanks for sharing and you are so right the sound of that V8 alone is enough to make you smile. Thanks again Kevin.

Guillaum, me too. The pure engine sound is what makes you smile each time.. as David does and knows too how special this car is… and he has a few beautiful cars that we have made videos on.

Great review & great car. I have the exact copy - '89 S4 blk / blk 5-spd w/ 56K mi but mine has the orig chrome manhole covers. Bought her summer '23 and the plan is to get the maint up to date, drive and enjoy for a cpl yrs, then pass on to the next caretaker.
Terry, you lucky dog. The car is extraordinary for sure and you will certainly be the envy of others. I received 1987 (928) as a gift, back in late 1993. My x totaled it drunk driving. 😠 The vehicle also performed smoothly, which also gripped to the road, and with excellent torque. Speeds up to 0-60 in 5 seconds.
EV.. the car is a true gift! And such a same it was damaged.. is that reason they became the “X”😊. I noticed you said ex- totaling it was the final nail im guessin.😅😅😅😅😅😅😅😅😅😅
Awesome ride man with those straight pipes!
I agree
The two rear wiper arms are because one is an idler and keeps the wiper blade vertical as it sweeps the screen.
Gaz, that is a great engineering solution, thanks for sharing. I also wanted to take a moment to personally thank for taking the time to watching my videos, leaving a comment and for subscribing to my channel I truly appreciate it.

Happy new year to you too. Wonderful video and a great car.
Thanks, you too!
Happy New Year to you too kev and all the best for 24. The Porsche 928 has been one of my favorite and with those pop up lights, straight pipes and a manual drive it's perfection.
Thanks Ken
Really nice car!

Beautiful car! Happy New Year Kevin!
Thanks 👍
The 982 was always way ahead of its time. This car is a testament to pure Porsche performance and perfection.
Right on Dave.
928
Happy New Year Kevin and David.

Yes! In every video, we can see the passion of the owner... and the host 😊@@ClassicCarChitChat
I love the 928, they managed to stuff that v8 behind the front tires and get the weight pretty much 50/50. You can also fit a whole mountain bike in the back without taking off tires and close the hatch too.
Themooseface (love the name) you are so right. That V8 on a relatively light car is outstanding and those straight pipes really makes it come to life too. Later models still look gorgeous, especially with cup wheels

Beautiful car but it just irks me that the North American versions have those mandated side marker/reflector lights and those strange rubber blocks either side of the rear licence plate. The Euro versions look a bit cleaner...love the cup alloys though!
Richard.. you are not the only one. Sadly too many cars over the years have fallen to these requirements in order to sell to the market.

Nice ride!! Ever thought of doing a story on a classic 57 or 68 Thunderbird??? Happy New Year.
Andrew, thank you for your comment. The Porsche is beautiful and I would certainly be interested in the Thunderbird. I have done 1 before and another coming soon but if you have one I would love to meet you and make a video. I will take an original 928, no rear spoiler with a manual transmission and a electric radio antenna ❤
Gerald.. agreed.. why change something that is pure perfection in the first place 😊.

Nice car! Looks to me it may actually be a 928GT, not an S4.
Claude.. thanks for clarifying.
Because it's a manual, with the antenna on the roofof
Claude, thanks for clarifying. If it was an automatic can we assume the antenna would be in a different position?
