Chuck Rock Longplay (Amiga) [50 FPS]: Help Chuck rescue his wife from the dastardly Gary Gritter in this great platforming game from Core Design! Read the video description for my review!
Am I crazy, or wasn't there a version of the Amiga port that had more than one music track? I'm almost positive I heard something else playing in the caves and beach levels.
I still remember very well that as an adolescent, among other games, I liked to play Chuck Rock on the Amiga. But when I look at the game today, there is not much left of the former fascination. The humor is dull rather than witty. The portrayal of "Man and Woman" isn't really up to date anymore and the gameplay seems quite repetitive to me. Where we are repetitive with the theme - as great as the intro song may be, it gets annoying after a short time. It seems to be the only song the game has to offer at all. Other genre representatives had much more to offer, not only in this aspect. Like Turrican for example. Even within the sub-genre of the primeval Jump & Runs there is a better representative with Prehistorik. What remains are the beautiful memories of a time that will never come again and the games that are a product of that time. Translated with www.DeepL.com/Translator

Childhood memories. This game just randomly popped into my head this morning for some reason
Likewise! Loved this silly game
Blast from the past. It's amazing how something not seen in 30 years seems so familiar.
Fond memories. I remember my dad sending off for this in the post. It took ages to come. One of the best platformers I ever played on the Amiga.
Highlander I have great memories of this game too, and the second one - just loved playing it!
Oh MAN I LOVED this game when I was younger, I'd play it for hours on end and I'd still play it now if I could find it!
Super Console X Pro!!
The intro music rocks!!!!!
I kind of wonder whether or not Core had any idea that Gary Glitter was, in fact, a local weirdo.
Perfect!
So much memories with these Amiga games.
0:40 Gary Gritter the Local Weirdo. 🤣🤣🤣🤣
The animation on the band intro music could've been done so much lazier... But they did it great... They are playing those instruments!
I loving this title and the People and this rock video.......never getting tired on this 😊😊😊😊😊😊
Here Italy, fantastic conversion for AMIGA and only 1 mb of memory.
0:40 They knew.
Less PC in those days....
That is... an unfortunate detail, in hindsight
This game needs to be included in more top 20 amiga games.
Amiga was fucking brilliant! One of my first games on it..... ahhh memories
Should remake it with Gary kidnapping his son.
My favorite childhood game. Why this wasn’t as massive as Mario or Sonic I don’t know!
One of the best looking amiga games, if you didnt know youd think it was on a snes/md with those large sprites and graphics and 60fps scrolling
I used to play this on an Acorn computer! I always got stuck at the bit with the dinosaur. Xx
That signature 90s cartoon style drawing ✏️
I'm a bit surprised there's the music ingame. In my remembrance, there's not.
You get to choose music or sound effects. For the video, I played with sound effects and overlayed the music in post production
The animation and colours in this game gave me a migraine but I didn't care! It was amazing what they could do with the level of hardware and memory.
the whole game did a great job at predicting gary glitter's dowmfall
I always remember this being in my local video store, I could of bought this game 50 times over the amount of coins I threw at it
Some skills. Such a good game. I was always looking fir something "better" still :(
Childhood memory unlocked
I wish they would do some kind of remastered version
GG !
Great thanks at You..
Just your real gaming and amiga's song... 😍😍
I'm sure I only had the option of music OR sound effects on my Amiga version?
Gary Gritter 😂😂😂 Jesus.
OMG Gary Gritter the local weirdo was the baddie!
0:45 LMFAOOO! They knew. They knew.
I had this on Sega Mega Drive
I used to love this game except for the damn song that played over and over again haha.
Chucks wife was actually smokin to be fair to local weirdo Gary Glitter... (oh i mean Gritter.)
8-bit til I die.
This is 16 bit

There's a Sega Mega CD version that might have more than one music track - it's on my list to look at 😉
I know the Sega CD version does, for sure. But I'm sure I played an A500 port with extra music. Is the US release different?
Probably a bit late, but the Megadrive version definitely had different music for each stage.
Here Italy, i look this video, the music is original AMIGA but the sound add effects not originals...........
how do you get music & soundfx toghether?
I played the game with SFX and added the in-game music in post production (I think I mentioned it in the description)
0:52 Dolly Buster😂
Me name Chuck, I'm here to f-
Nooooooooo!
Pat yourself in the head if you get the reference
Oh man to think these were the creators of the multi million dollar tomb raider franchise.
this music is absurd LOL
Nice video Nice game Nice port
Weaponized beer belly.

I have to say that the Megadrive version had far superior music, it just feels more ya know, stoneage?

"The portrayal of "Man and Woman" isn't really up to date" in a game about cavemen xD
@@sirgallant5000 lol!!!
Da mucha pena ver estos juegos
En diferentes consolas pero las mismas mecánicas y musicas
