Let’s Compare Chuck Rock 1: Amiga (1991) 2: Atari St (1991) 3: Acorn Archimedes (1991) 4: Genesis (1991) 5: Sega CD (1992) 6: Super Nintendo (1992) 7: Master System (1992) 8: Game Gear (1992) 9: Commodore 64 (1992) 10: Game Boy (1993) 11: Amiga Cd32 (1994)
Objectively the Mega-CD version is the best but I prefer the Mega Drive one (while I go Mega-CD for the sequel). Amiga version can only plays music or sound FX and apparently there's only 1 track! It must be maddening but fortunately they did better for the sequel.
that is not true, i had chuck rock and it played both sounds and music.. perhaps this guy had a problem configuring his emulator or something, yet you will find plenty of other videos of chuck rock in amiga with both sounds and music..
Unga Bunga to all :) My thoughts: - I was not aware of Acorn and C64 versions, thank you Mr Retrosutra - Whatever the version, the gameplay is pretty much the same, it's a success from Core - The CD32 version is a shame, they could have used the CD tracks for music and the chip for the sound effects - Even if i'm a pro-Amiga, i have to admit that the Megadrive/Sega CD versions are the best
yet some clueless and salty people bash the mega-cd for having "many mega drive ports with just cd music" (despite that this actually concerns only a minority of games and is not even a problem in itself since, at least, this lets you choose between chiptunes or cd music) but things are much worse on amiga cd 32 (even more since the cd32 is supposedly a next gen system...)
Wow lmao that's the most pathetic sega fanboy comment I've read in a while. Not only does the game look, run and sound better on SNES, there's a reason Nintendo is still up and running and Sega isn't.
Mega drive is in first place better than the amiga, in the first stage the water is static and there is no sound effects . The snes sounds horrible and the sound effects are off!!

Sega Cd looks great.
I played the Amiga version.
They used a Captain Caveman sample in some of the versions

The game is called "Chuck Rock" and the Amiga Version is the only one who actually rocks.
RIGHT ON !!!!!!!!!!.
Incorrect. They all rock on the titlescreen (Which has been annoyingly cut out!!)

Mega drive / mega cd easily the best
the amiga cd is the same the original!!!!

SNES for music and it's decent gameplay and graphics
SNES, it has the best sound, and is the one I played back then.
I think they took out the dinosaur shitting on you out of the console versions
Amiga CD32 probably wins for being exactly the same as the Amiga original
Mega Drive or Mega-CD wins for better game, Amiga wins for a view on Ophelia's ass, SNES wins for nothing and, as often, is left in the dust.

@@Ofdensen to be fair, the game does play a lot better on the MD

Snes looks the best. Vibrant colors and good soundtrack
@@beedabop5797 snes does look great but looks can be deceiving, the music is off and the resolution is not as good for the gameplay...
@@predaking2wings I think MD also plays a bit snappier
