    We installed this fan in our livingroom about 8 years ago. Everyone that sees it complements us on it. Good choice. The only aspect we don't like about it is that it doesn't give off enough light for the room.

    This video came at just the right time. I want to replace my fan but the thought of having an electrician out was not in the budget. I think I will tackle this on my own. My fan is not large so I am confident that I can manage it. Well...thanks to you.

      You can do it, Toni! We're rooting for you. Let us know how it looks after you install it. Thanks for the great comment. -DIYPC 😃

    Nice, step by step video! I've installed hundreds of fans in my years and this particular once was up in 5 minutes. Once note is that 44" fan is to small for that room. I would of done a modern 52" instead. Great video!

    FYI the controller light button has a dimming function. Press and hold on/off button to dim to low settings, press and hold on/off button to dim high bright.

    Thank you .. great video.. excellent instructions .. my only complaint about the fan is .. the light seems a little dim.. it’s not as bright as I would have liked ..the design of the fan is sleek and beautiful thought .. .

    Again, awesome content and very informative. I'm an electrician by trade and I do have some quick pointers.
    1. I recommend prepping your wires before hanging the fan just make it a little easier.
    2. There are a lot of vibrations in fans so I recommend using electrical tape and taping the wire nuts to the wires so they don't back out.
    Keep the content rolling!

      Steve, those are some fantastic points. We appreciate the great advice. Prepping and taping make a world of difference! THANKS -DIYPC 😃

    I did the fan this past summer but your video on vinyl tile was great. Your video showed me where I went wrong so I am taking up the floor to do over again.

      listen softly, we're glad you did the fan...but what happened with your floor? Did you forget the underlayment?

    • @listensoftly681
      @listensoftly681 2 ปีที่แล้ว

      2 Things I did wrong not putting down the under layment because my floor is wood. And not removing the molding wasn't a smart move.

      Jose, the receiver was already placed inside the fan by the manufacturer for this model. I didn't have to place it inside. This is a fantastic fan 😃. We appreciate you watching our video. I saw when you first posted about this new fan you installed and am now glad to see your step by step! I have a fan that needs to be replaced since there is a ring that holds the blade on it. This doesn't appear difficult. I feel confident I can do this!

    • @DIYPowerCouple
      @DIYPowerCouple  2 ปีที่แล้ว +1

      Dolores, it wasn't difficult. Just remember to fully take out one screw and only loosen the other 2 screws where we say it in the video. This is a great fan to have. It's quiet and it doesn't shake. Let us know how it looks when you put it up. -DIYPC 😃

    I bought this and wanted to install it myself but little did I know my house which was built in the 40's had wires that I couldn't tell apart so now 😅 I had to find someone who could actually figure it out and install the fan now that I took down the old ceiling fan. Word of caution if you don't know what up in there let a professional do the work.

    Hey if you have that ceiling thing taken down and stuff thrown away how about donate it to a thrift store by chance that way you don't waste the good ceiling fan usually if you want to make a modern you can spray paint the motors black and then get some bleached out blades then it's one of the nicest looking fans you'll have but cool modern fan

    I just got 2 of these, they both blink. The light blinks on and off and if the light is off and fan is going I can hear the motor stop and then kick back on.
    This is happening for both fans.
    Although your video was great, I had an electrician to install. The remote barely works… I have to click so many times and literally walk up to the fan with the remote. I have reprogrammed/reset both fans multiple times. I’ve come to TH-cam for help and I will be calling customer service. Any other advice?
    Thanks!

    • @DIYPowerCouple
      @DIYPowerCouple  2 ปีที่แล้ว

      Quinesha, this fan is super quiet 🤫. If both of your fans were installed by an electrician, I would contact the electrician or company to see if they will reinstall the fan at no cost. Hopefully, they have an installation guarantee. What you described sounds more like an installation issue rather than a manufacturer defect. If the same person put both fans in...that is one thing I would look at. Lights blinking on and off could mean that a wire is not connected properly in the orange wire connector. There were rubber pieces that the electrician should have taken out of the fan. If they left them in, the pieces could be hitting the motor as it turns on and off. If you have any other questions, you can join us live this Sunday at 3:15 pm EST th-cam.com/video/nsj8v8NFJBw/w-d-xo.html

      Hey Lottie, it really depends on if you hire a handyman or a professional. We are unsure of their current prices. Getting a referral from someone close to you is a good starting point. You want someone who will install it right at the price you agree to. -DIYPC 😃
