This looks awesome and I definitely want to try this but is there anything you can do with the left over honey or do you have to waste it because of the raw eggs? Seems like a lot of honey to waste on this recipe and I wouldn't do it if I couldn't use the left over honey for something. Honey ain't cheap and you gotta respect the bee's effort, am I right? 😅
Bacteria and other microorganisms don't survive in honey. The environment is too concentrated. A lot of sugar is like a lot of salt. No water, no growth. Otherwise said, you can keep the honey. It will have a different taste though :P
@@KelGhubacteria may survive in this honey if enough water has flown into the honey from the egg, thinning it. You could use the leftover ‘egged’ hot honey for cooking? For example, you could make a sort of baked beans with hot honey and tomato sauce in the base. That would be awesome.
@@allisonguthrie8257 Must be substantial. But still, the water will disperse homogenically and the bacteria will be dehydrated killing them. It's like making candied fruit. It preserves them. You can keep them forever because microorganisms are killed by taking away water content. Honey is the same.
Honey has antibacterial properties and is a great substitute for aloe vera for treating burns and such because it kills off bacteria and nourishes the skin

@@sanjablazina2879I’m not sure of what exactly it is that’s different, but I do know that Europeans and folks in the U.S have some sort of difference in how their eggs are-processed, for lack of a better word? Americans need to refrigerate their eggs, and I’ve been told that most Europeans do not need to do this for their eggs. However, as I am not European, and have never been to Europe, I won’t claim to be 100% sure.

The only problem is my debit card burst into flames when I saw how much honey you used! 😂
You could use less and buy straight from the source by the bucket which while still expensive makes it many times cheaper than a tiny honey bottle. .

The "cooking" in question was taking raw eggs and putting them in a bowl with other ingredients. And then heating up a baguette he bought at a store

he shouldn't get salmonella i dont think, honey has enough sugar to kill bacteria which is why honey doesnt spoil so i think thats the curing part ?

Japanese people ate raw eggs with hot rice and never got salmonella, so that defeats the purpose of the Salmonella having 89 missed calls.
