I like that Kazuya has more allies than we thought. He got Feng Wei, Nina, Azucena, Jack-8, a whole army of Jack-7's. AND his final devil form from Tekken 7 had its design massively improved for Tekken 8. It's genuinely wonderful seeing the effects of Tekken 7's success and how it is changing Tekken 8 for the better. Here's to hoping this is the best fighting game story campaign in history.
I love how Tekken has become less about just a tournament and more of a full on heroic drama. I hope every character gets to chime in to play a part in the overall saga. Can’t wait !

Amazing concept? It's about as exciting and predictable as when every main character from Japanese anime ends up with amnesia at some point. It's boring and so common amoung Japanese written stories.
This is shaping up to be the best Story Mode of the Tekken franchise. Absolutely amazing and reminds me a lot of the Tekken: Blood Vengeance film, just a continuation off of that.
I've always love how every character speaks their native language, so we can have someone speaking korean and someone japanese and they still understand each other 😂
I remember playing the first Tekken on my PlayStation 1. Man what an epic game. Great characters, 3D stages, great fighting mechanics, awesome unlockable boss characters. Tekken 2 will forever be my ultimate favorite. The most solid roster, great music, and best graphics. Tekken tag was also epic. I spent many hours playing Tekken tag with friends. Tekken is up there with Mortal Kombat, and Street Fighter, in the class of best fighting games of all time.
@@fezzy5591 scenario campaign mode is fun but it’s not good as a story mode. Just today i finish the mode after 11 years since the last time i played it and the story is not good. I think it’s can work as a side mode like a tekken force mode but it’s not fun when the main story of a fighting game stuck behind a beat em up side mode. At least now everyone in the story mode in tekken 8 (sadly no dlc or important character that’s not on the story like anna, eddy, julia or miguel)
Actually seeing the divided lines beyond the side plot storylines has me genuinely hyped to play specifically for the story mode. Hoping it brings back the Tekken 4-5 style story modes since it seems everyone's story can actually connect back to the main plot if this trailer has some ounce of truth.

Beat the story last night. What an incredible experience. Still getting goosebumps. This has to be the most polished and breathtaking story I've ever played in a fighting game.
Watching this trailer felt like an anime. And what's even better. We get to play this as well. We get to play this game. What a time to be alive. It's looking absolutely beautiful. And the story mode looks so inclusive of all characters and I always wanted that kind of synergy between everyone. It feels so much deeper than any previous tekken game. I was 9 years old when I first went to a gaming arcade in Pakistan and played TEKKEN 3. I instantly got addicted and have played every single sequel ever since. Won some local tournaments made some good friends. Thank you Tekken I'll keep playing until the last installment of series.

I really appreciate and love that almost every single playable character is now more involved in Story Mode compared to before when they weren't. More excited to see how everyone plays a part in it and how much it'll affect things moving forward.
I love the way they added our conjunction letters so you can see what's in context and why it makes sense to us!. Like that's a cool detail, should have subs like that in anime
I was hoping Jun would be seen more in the story, but this is just the trailer, so who knows, maybe she will be seen more throughout the story but hopefully not just as a ghost, a vision, or just a spiritual being.
Tekken is giving Mortal Kombat level story with the arena scene with all of the fighters being involved! I got straight up chills with how good the story already is!

The quality was all over the place, you'd have these high end looking cinematic moments like Heihachi Vs Akuma and then plain old boring dreary journalist narration, then a cut scene, then still drawn images etc. It was cobbled together.

Kazuya became the scariest boss now this gave me chills that Jin lost his devil power but in exchange of Jun reveals that he also have that angelic Kazama power in him that’s why he is called the child of destiny and I feel like there will be Tekken force and will be fun to play 🤩
This is going to be the best cinematic story mode to date for the series, I'm sure of it! Tekken 7 was good and had it's moments, I understood the storytelling and the plot, however it was half baked. Here, they have stepped up! This is something that I would love to have in theaters!

Been playing Tekken ever since the 1st one came out in '94. I never imagined the story from that game evolving into what we have today. Back when Tekken 2 came out, the mere act of making Heihachi the main was so unheard of, Namco put ads in magazines saying, "The Rumors Are True." That's one thing about Tekken: no matter how the game plays from game to game, that Mishima canon gets you hooked.
I’m also a fellow legacy player. Look how far we’ve come. Give yourself a huge pat on the back because our love for this franchise has helped it grow into what it is today. 🏆
It’s pretty funny how Jin is surprised he can’t go devil mode. Like, wasn’t it always against his will to turn into devil? T3 ending he only shifts after being shot by Hei. At the end of T4 he seems in control, then by T5 he’s screaming bloody murder in a forest with chains and face tats. When he goes insane and starts a war in T6 devil doesn’t even come out funnily enough. And finally in T7 he blows up a helicopter with a laser in his sleep and is later found shambling through the streets of Souq fighting Hwoarang (I can’t remember if this is canon or not since in the story Lars finds him).
You are right lad but his devil gene is stronger then KAZUYA he whooped KAZUYA and Heihachi’s ass one after the other and flew off. Maybe they will use this for his mom to come and so he can turn into a devil again
I hope the story of tekken 9 is calmer, I wanted to see a time of peace at least until halfway through Tekken 9, I really like the peace vibe of tekken. For me the perfect lore for tekken 9 would be Jin abandoning everything and going on a road trip with Howrang and Xiaoyu, Leaving the entire Mishima zaibatsu to Lee since he deserved it and suffered at Heihachi's hand as an adopted son. I would like Kazuya to be alive and without the Devil gene, isolating himself in the mountains to rethink his life and return as an unlikely ally at some point. See Asuka and Jin chatting About their family, talking about Jun or meeting Asuka's family, other kazamas... Lars and Alisa enjoying life together, relaxing around or working to restore the post-war world, volunteer work around the world together, it would be awesome to see. Paul and Law fought for silly reasons, idk, maybe Paul got a badass biker wife and now he is the president of a biker gang. Marshall Law felt exchanged since Forest got married and he was left alone by Paul, It would be cool to see them come together in a story like this. And it ties the characters into solo stories like this, while something in the background happens. And finally, an exciting plot behind it, such as the arrival of other beings like the ogre to Earth, exploring them as an fighter alien race. Indirectly bringing the ogre back, but being another ogre , another alien with a unique and neat look. That would be my ideal tekken, It would make the story fresher, and not feel like we are seeing the same plots over and over again. Seeing characters changing their opinions about things, just like Marduk and King becoming friends It's what would make the story feel like it's finally moving forward. And delving deeper into the ogre race would make tekken finally establish its world build. Just like Mortal Kombat did with the tarkatan or the shokan race, We would finally have depth in the tekken races, talking more about the mokujjn would also be great, as well as the manji Clan.
Finally, EVERYONE is in story mode. Even freaking Leroy who was DLC in TK7. That, "Believe in yourself.", line from Leroy along with the fist bump gave me goosebumps

I've been playing Tekken since I was a little kid and my family would play Tekken 3 on the PS1. Seeing this franchise still going warms my heart

I was hoping Jun would be seen more in the story, but this is just the trailer, so who knows, maybe she will be seen more throughout the story but hopefully not just as a ghost, a vision, or just a spiritual being.
If she was only a vision, she would rather not be playable but its Namco at the end so who knows

Tekken is giving Mortal Kombat level story with the arena scene with all of the fighters being involved! I got straight up chills with how good the story already is!

@@shenelljohnson74 I know but just based on what's happening in the trailer, we never got a Tekken with THIS type of story where everyone was truly involved in the story, we only got arcade endings and epilogues in Story Mode to base what happened and speculate what truly were canon.
I was mostly thinking Soul Calber or Dead or Alive. Mortal Kombat story bit more protect all realms this just basic personal family BS and this it’s Jin vs Kazuya again for the 2nd time since 4

Tekken 8 story almost feels like a movie
Recent fighting games like MK and Street fighter are becoming more like movies. Tekken 6 started this trend in my opinion.
As an Asuka main, I was really hoping to finally see her getting involved in the Mishima conflict. Trailer still looks dope though, and we'll still see how the final game looks like. Super excited! 😊

@@antekliyue9874 He's right, Tekken 7 had a couple cool moments, particularly the fight at the end but it otherwise did feel very rushed and last minute.
The quality was all over the place, you'd have these high end looking cinematic moments like Heihachi Vs Akuma and then plain old boring dreary journalist narration, then a cut scene, then still drawn images etc. It was cobbled together.

Tekken 7 was good and had it's moments, I understood the storytelling and the plot, however it was half baked. Here, they have stepped up! This is something that I would love to have in theaters!

So Kazuya and Heihachi’s final showdown was surrounded by lava and fire. Jin and Kazuya’s seem to be surrounded by storms and water.

Been playing Tekken ever since the 1st one came out in '94. I never imagined the story from that game evolving into what we have today. Back when Tekken 2 came out, the mere act of making Heihachi the main was so unheard of, Namco put ads in magazines saying, "The Rumors Are True." That's one thing about Tekken: no matter how the game plays from game to game, that Mishima canon gets you hooked.
I’m also a fellow legacy player. Look how far we’ve come. Give yourself a huge pat on the back because our love for this franchise has helped it grow into what it is today. 🏆
It’s pretty funny how Jin is surprised he can’t go devil mode. Like, wasn’t it always against his will to turn into devil? T3 ending he only shifts after being shot by Hei. At the end of T4 he seems in control, then by T5 he’s screaming bloody murder in a forest with chains and face tats. When he goes insane and starts a war in T6 devil doesn’t even come out funnily enough. And finally in T7 he blows up a helicopter with a laser in his sleep and is later found shambling through the streets of Souq fighting Hwoarang (I can’t remember if this is canon or not since in the story Lars finds him).
I mean Jin is pretty much doing the "fight fire with fire" thing,if Jin is gonna defeat Kazuya he will need the devil gene
You are right lad but his devil gene is stronger then KAZUYA he whooped KAZUYA and Heihachi’s ass one after the other and flew off. Maybe they will use this for his mom to come and so he can turn into a devil again
I hope the story of tekken 9 is calmer, I wanted to see a time of peace at least until halfway through Tekken 9, I really like the peace vibe of tekken. For me the perfect lore for tekken 9 would be Jin abandoning everything and going on a road trip with Howrang and Xiaoyu, Leaving the entire Mishima zaibatsu to Lee since he deserved it and suffered at Heihachi's hand as an adopted son. I would like Kazuya to be alive and without the Devil gene, isolating himself in the mountains to rethink his life and return as an unlikely ally at some point. See Asuka and Jin chatting About their family, talking about Jun or meeting Asuka's family, other kazamas... Lars and Alisa enjoying life together, relaxing around or working to restore the post-war world, volunteer work around the world together, it would be awesome to see. Paul and Law fought for silly reasons, idk, maybe Paul got a badass biker wife and now he is the president of a biker gang. Marshall Law felt exchanged since Forest got married and he was left alone by Paul, It would be cool to see them come together in a story like this. And it ties the characters into solo stories like this, while something in the background happens. And finally, an exciting plot behind it, such as the arrival of other beings like the ogre to Earth, exploring them as an fighter alien race. Indirectly bringing the ogre back, but being another ogre , another alien with a unique and neat look. That would be my ideal tekken, It would make the story fresher, and not feel like we are seeing the same plots over and over again. Seeing characters changing their opinions about things, just like Marduk and King becoming friends It's what would make the story feel like it's finally moving forward. And delving deeper into the ogre race would make tekken finally establish its world build. Just like Mortal Kombat did with the tarkatan or the shokan race, We would finally have depth in the tekken races, talking more about the mokujjn would also be great, as well as the manji Clan.

Finally, EVERYONE is in story mode. Even freaking Leroy who was DLC in TK7. That, "Believe in yourself.", line from Leroy along with the fist bump gave me goosebumps
