That last, retro, Jun costume... gorgeous. ❤ Hope Asuka has her Tekken 5 classic as well. Also, schoolgirl uniform. Those are iconic. Maybe in the future or as unlockables...?
Wow, I can't call a single one of these anything less than nice. Yoshi's suits are probably my favorite one yet, they took all the best elements from his prior designs and mixed them into masterpieces. I also like how everyone has a "fan favorite" throwback costume.
I'm so glad they gave us the squid costume again. It really grew on me. Although, I would have loved to have seen the return of the beetle suit. That one is my ultimate favorite.

I think the funny thing about most of these stages is that I'll be able to see Lili chasing Salt at the start of the matches on these stages, "SALT, YOU'RE IN SPACE PUT YOUR SPACESUIT ON!" or "SALT COME BACK HERE, WHY ARE YOU IN THE MIND OF A CONFLICTED KAZAMA!" and even "SALT, WHAT ARE YOU DOING IN A WARZONE!?"
Definitely a lot better than street fighter 6 which launched only with 18 lol 😆 but I still loved street fighter 6 but compared to tekken street fighter is laughably small
@@aaronatkinson177 I'm a fan of both, but frankly the Tekken characters aren't really updated all that much from 7 to 8 in terms of mechanics and move lists. SF5 to 6 the mechanics are so much different and characters behave very differently too. The combo system is also very different, but Tekken 8 will still be pretty much the same dance of spacing to land a launcher or ground/wall bounce into whatever the characters have largely been doing since Tekken 5. Still hype as heck for it, but the development strategy of these series are completely different. One chooses to change up a lot, another looks to make incremental improvements (allowing them to keep a large roster).

How so? I don't disagree that the male faces have more variation, since there are just a lot more male characters, but I personally don't think they're that much more expressive. Besides characters like Bryan, Paul, Law, the facial expressions are kept pretty minimal, same as the female characters. And you can still tell apart the personality of the female characters through their facial expressions: Reina being cocky and tomboyish, Lili has that elegant snobby look, Asuka is joked about for being very similar to Reina, but even though she also has that tomboy personality, she give off the confidence and smugness that Reina has, etc. I don't think they all have the same expression, in my opinion.

Azucena especially, looks half asleep compared to how her personality is supposed to be crazy. Compare her face to that of Juri or Mileena for example, and she looks doped up. They REALLY dropped the ball when it comes to the female faces, and I guess it was less of a priority because of the main target demographic, but that sucks.
These graphics look INSANE. Most of all the character design is so thought out , I like also how we’re getting different skin variations . The music for this game too is so sick I can’t wait to get my hands on it and start playing. When MK1 came out I was so disappointed with the lack of character choices but Tekken came through with the 32 skins from the jump

This game having more characters and costumes all in the base game alongside a lot of customisation shows the value of this game compared to Tekken's competitors.
I know a lot of people aren't gonna play him and aren't thrilled to have him in. However I'm so happy Shaheen made it back in T8. He was my main in 7 for the entirety and I can't wait to try him out in 8. Look for me online once it hits. See my Shaheen bois 😁
@@utarefson9 I totally get it. That's why a lot of people were flabbergasted when found out Shaheen came back. Saying that he was a very basic and boring character character to play in 7. I agree his kit was very boring nothing dynamic. At the same time Shaheen is a pure 3D fighter fundamental character that is excellent for those to learn everything from the ground up without much hassle. Personally I liked him for his design and mained him because of that. I truely believe they revamped his kit in T8, just waiting for his gameplay trailer so I can break it down.
Damn, Jun's old outfit looks so sick! King's Lucha is pretty funny. Love how his cat mask has a mask on. Wish Yoshi had gotten one of his better outfits, but the Octopus is still pretty memorable.

Stages look amazing but istill wish they would surprise us with one or two addtionnal legacy/classic stages from older tekken games being remade like Tekken 4's Mall/Rooftop authentic sky or also Tekken 5's moonlight wilderness stage
Compared to Tekken 7, I noticed all the base game characters they kept are the ones who typically make it to competitive ranks or have unique fighting styles; they shaved off the fat of characters who already share fighting styles with others (i.e. Jack-8 is here but not Gigas, Lucky Chloe is gone, almost no DLC characters made it-although Lidia was a fan favorite, so sad not to see her here). And the three new custom outfits for each character are stunning!

Stages look amazing but istill wish they would surprise us with one or two addtionnal legacy/classic stages from older tekken games being remade like Tekken 4's Mall/Rooftop authentic sky or also Tekken 5's moonlight wilderness stage

Compared to Tekken 7, I noticed all the base game characters they kept are the ones who typically make it to competitive ranks or have unique fighting styles; they shaved off the fat of characters who already share fighting styles with others (i.e. Jack-8 is here but not Gigas, Lucky Chloe is gone, almost no DLC characters made it-although Lidia was a fan favorite, so sad not to see her here). And the three new custom outfits for each character are stunning!
Ah I’m so glad we actually get a great fighting game which has alternate costumes for which we don’t have to pay a 108 dollars!!!
The into the stratosphere and fallen destiny are pretty interesting especially into the stratosphere I always loved outer space themes like that
