I want to know if water will drip out from the groove around the filter when I pull it out. Is this an issue with the filter, or is something else in the fridge broken
Easy do it yourself? I tried for an hour and a half to get the old one off... I used latex gloves to grip, a screwdriver to try to loosen along the sides, a perfectly fitting monkey wrench and pure sweat and grit and I could not get the originally installed filter OFF the fitting. So now what? Just funky tasting ice from here to eternity? This was a top of the line French Door Whirlpool I bought a year ago. Any suggestions before taking a sledge hammer to it??
Take that back. I tried for 2 hours, exhausting myself twisting the original filter counter-clockwise as indicated with NO LUCK. Do I need to hire a HULK lifting weights at the gym?? Should I give up now after 3 hours of trying to unscrew it? What is the secret??
What does the number on the control panel for the filter represent? % used or % available? We moved into rental about 2 months ago and rarely use the water/ice dispensing feature. Does that prolong the life of the filter? Our water and ice taste fresh, have no black flecks or any other signs of needing replacement. The indicator reads 77.
Thanks!! Made it super simple, I’m glad you included the air part since I thought I broke it for a second 😂

Thank you! Quick question (can’t seem to find the answer online) - will the same filter for a WRX735SDBM00/WRX735SDBM02 work for model WRX735SDBM04 ?

After replacing my water wasn't that dirty - is there a problem with the filter?
What if it doesn't say filter reset?

Will spraying PAM on it get it loosened up?
also do you need to shut off the water before changing the filter?
No, you don’t need to shut it off.
Thank you!
what do you do with the ice, do you throw away?
If you think it’s not good or clean, you can throw it out.

Next time I change the filter, I'll know to shut the water off first.
