9 Monsters that are likely to return to Monster Hunter Wilds in 2025, based on the monsters we know are in the game already such as Rey Dau, Arkveld, Uth Duna, Congalala etc.
Me too, Namielle was so good, so different too. I want my deep sea dragon back. Uth Duna is looking like one of my favourites already so having Namielle there too would be huge for our sea monsters 😅
I disagree about glavenus Having two fire tail monsters would mean glavenus would undermine the new monster and capcom dont like taking two monsters that do the same things or similar Thats why i think barroth will not make an appearance because of chattucabra
I hope dalamadur will in this game, there’s a slight chance he will since the logo of the game has two snake like monsters with limbs in the middle so maybe. Also jhen and dahren mohran since the open world theme together with the giant desert area and the sand ship we saw in the trailer. I really hope They’ll be added they would be a spectacular fight
your not getting a returning monster as the story final but there is a thunder flying snake on the world map of the game in lore that shows a desert with a giant thunder snake that causes storms and its counter part is a earth snake that causes tremors

honestly the fact that balahara isn't a snake wyvern is the real crime. that would have been the hard confirmation for najarala. but with that as many other people i am also coping for aknaktor!!!

Well, Balahara, unlike Najarala and her subspecies, has 4 fully developed limbs, so the leviathan classification is more fitting (the only other snake like land dweller is Dalamadur, which is similar in structure to Najarala, with 2 fully developed limbs
I really hope the stronger high rank monsters are not just a bunch of flying wyverns, and they make all the cool and original mons a bunch of pushovers. I want amphibians, insects, and crustaceans (I forgot the names) that are actually challenging to fight and can stand on the level of the Apexes and the like. You know what I mean? Most of my game time is going to be spent hunting the tougher guys, so at least make the stronger monsters be more varied and not just a copy paste of rathalos or tigrex. Edit: And for the love of god, please dont make 70% of the roster fire monsters, I'm tired of having just 1 element so over represented while having just 1 or 2 water/thunder/ice. Give me options between different monsters for every element, not like base world or the sunbreak updates...
I think Sunbreak heavily leaned into fire types for some reason. I don’t expect that to be the same here, especially since the only fire monster we have seen so far is Quematrice. I’m confident they’ll expand on the element variety, just like they’re doing with the monster types. World had loads of flying wyverns, but Wilds is improving on that and we can already see it’s very dense when it comes to differing types of monsters
Saying najarala first for balahara is a bit of a leap but... We do know, from Rage Gaming's interview with the devs, that the team confirmed the stubby leg leviathan skeleton is fixed. Yes, the only reason almodron and mizutsune were in Rise or the 5th gen at all was because their legs are slightly longer. With those longer legs their snake like bodies aren't making nearly as much contact with the ground so the game doesn't have to calculate all of that to prevent clipping. For months, many of us theorized that balahara was the exact skeleton, no leg extensions, that lagiacrus and agnaktor use so they are both VERY likely for Wilds. Najarala has the exact same problem, that prevented it form showing up in 5th gen, so he's back on the table too. I would love to see najarala, his subspecies maybe in the expansion, and a new snake wyvern in Wilds. An Idea I had for a long time was a pack leader of confusion and bleed (Rise's version specifically)/thunder/blast vipers. Really, any status that doesn't do much on its own but makes the next hit more punishing while confusion makes you easier to hit. Have confusion from the bite and the other status from tail or barbs along its entire body. I like how quemetrice doesn't actually have a flaming tail. We never see the tail itself on fire, just it spreading like oil or flint and using its tail to light it. It's a nice twist to make it different enough from glavenus. I would love to see all the fated 4 back, preferably with each getting subspecies in the expansion. Glavenus is the only one with a subspecies, so far, because violet does not count. Since it's not a subspecies but, instead, the only rare species without a subspecies. Where they even wasted the slot/opportunity more by making it fire mizu AGAIN! Rei dau is much more like the very early zinogre concept art when they suggested a flying wyvern for him. Seregios is the better option, using something that is similar in shape and also has the same element isn't as fun for variety. If we have to have 1 or the other I want Steve, unless they include a guaranteed astalos subspecies in master rank. Honestly, seregios could use one too. Please, for the love of Gog, use Rise's version of bleed. It's so much better than the stupid moving poison.
I agree with the Najaralla / Balahara comparason is valid, but I think Agnak tor is a more likely monster considering the leviathan skeleton working now, and the similar movements. Aswell as the fact that we had Uroktor in rise but no Agnaktor.
Agnaktor is another one on my radar. I fully agree on this, and it’s about time we get him as an updated monster. Very popular so I would hope they see that and get the lava boy in🤞🏽☝🏽
Ruko Diora, Diorekkusu, and Taikun Zamuza are gonna be good for a title update! Rey Dau as displayed was able to coat the edge of its wings with blue fulgurite (lightning struck sand). We also know that the Windward Plains has dead coral, yknow who else has dead coral? Taikun Zamuza, as displayed on his shell like barrier. During the storm period Sand and lightning cover the entire area until the end. Ruko Diora can use its magnesis to pick up large chunks of dirt, sand, or rock. This is because of the minerals and ores spread throughout the Plains during the storm period. This is why these three prime candidates for the Windward Plains have a high chance to return to mainline! (Thank you for reading through this mess of information)
Funnily enough, you could be onto something. I truly believe after the success of Espinas, frontier will be introduced to the mainline a lot more frequently. Finding the right balance for them is gonna be the main priority but as with Espinas, they did a fantastic job. I fully expect frontier monsters to be in their plans going forward. Some crazy yet intriguing monsters in there that deserve to be brought back and not just completely vanquished from the series!
Seems awful silly to deem a monster as being likely to return solely because it's vaguely visually similar to another monster confirmed to be in the roster. If anything, I would think it'd decrease their chances of returning by having another similar monster in the same game. If you, a MonHun developer, already put in a monster to cover a certain niche in the roster, why would you then add another similar monster to cover the same niche when you could use that same time to add an entirely different monster? Rakna-Kadaki didn't confirm Nercylla for Rise. Anjanath didn't mean Deviljho got in. Nor Jyuratodus for Beotodus or Lavasioth, Teostra for Lunastra, Khezu for Gigginox... even members of the same species like Basarios didn't mean Gravios got in, or Diablos and Black Diablos. This seems more like a wishlist than it is theory-crafting
@@ActualCatfish not true, re-using certain assets is critical for them in big games like this. Rise wasn’t the same as World per say. I predicted Alatreon returning purely based on Velkhana’s model. Even in Rise, Amatsu was predictable by Narwa and Ibushi’s existence, which saved resources on monster that would otherwise require a lot more. It’s obviously not 100% the case all the time, but it does add a little bit more hope to some monsters. Wilds being the way it is, I expect them to have re-used assets where possible. Understand your point though 👍🏽
I'd love to see all of these guys return. I def wanna see more but type monsters. But they all have super different skeletons so I can see why they are rare. I wanna see a centipede monster. Najarala and Nerscilla are my top picks from the list in this video, personally
Najarala is almost a must have just for the snake wyverns to return. If not then just a new one would be good too. In fact I would rather new ones as it needs more in that classification.
I'm surprised Capcom hasn't made a centipede-like monster yet since centipedes are popular monster inspirations in Japanese media. I wonder if it would look better as a snake wyvern or leviathan?

@@FEARSxCAMAR0 good point about that! I would imagine the Leviathan and snake Wyvern skeletons to be a little too different to slap on a centipede skin, but some adjustments to the tech should do it right
Insects in general have so many possibilities to be spectacular. Centipede would be crazy, and I’m all for it tbh. I think they need to expand on their insect monster selection, as we’re mainly having spiders, and then things such as Vespoin Queen etc. not sure if Wilds will do that but it would be nice!
☹️ gammoth was in my recent monster Wishlist! There isn’t anything comparable to Gammoth right now so I didn’t really have anything to put her in there on this video unfortunately. I still want her to return as she deserves a re-design and chance!

I have seen the leak you refer to. I will always take them with a massive pinch of salt. Like @cru_ce stated above, it could be right but may just be monsters that are to be revealed before release. I liked the monsters they listed on the leak but I am hoping for more than those. We’ll see I suppose
If we get an ice map then he does, but perhaps needs to tone down the ice weapons he creates if we go with realism I suppose. Windward plains and Scarlet Forest he doesn’t fit at all, if that’s what you mean
