Hola Pablo!!
Graceful playing, clean tone, a secure technique, perfectly judged tempi. A rather bizarre first-movement cadenza, I thought; but I loved the brief duet that does duty as a cadenza in the slow movement. An interesting cellist, of whom I intend to hear more.
Not to take anything away from the performer or the orchestra, but it really sounds like Haydn. To me, too mechanical, too wooden-hearted. Then I heard his Concerto No. 4 for Cello and was astonished: really beautiful with lots of emotion and color (which this lacks, in my opinion). Then, I discovered it was not really written by Haydn but likely by the Italian Giovanni Constanzi. In fact, modern musicologists believe that only 2 of the 8 cello concertos attributed to Haydn were written by him! This and the first one. Try Constanzi/Haydn's 4th and you'll see a completely different creature.
That's Haydn. There you don't need to sound like in Dvorak. He does it really good. There are so many romantic cellists who play haydn so terrible! If you want to hear a full sound of him then hear romantic concerts or Prokofiev's Sinfonia Concertante.
I really like this cellist, definitely one of the best of this generation
Two of my favorite musicians, together!! ❤️
BRAVO brother :) muak!
Wonderful to see you again on TH-cam playing this joyous music ! !
BRAVO PABLO ! ! !
very impressive playing and muy cantabile as well. Your cadenza is excellent. Bravo :)
Estupendos director, celo y orquesta!!!!
a very beautiful interpretation !
thanks !
Increible como toca! Tiene todo, la técnica, la expresividad, el estilo, el buen gusto...
Wow, For me this is in the top three recordings of this concerto alongside Queras and bylsma, and definitely the best "modern style" interpretation!

Sube el Haydn No. 1!! Porfavor! :D
VERY GOOD AND TASTEFUL PLAYING. BEAUTIFUL SOUND. MUCH MORE PLEASANT THAN MAISKY'S "FAST AS YOU CAN" APPROACH..
Maisky is shit on everything.
그냥 니놈이 이해를 못하는 거지.
마이스키가 암만 이곡을 몰라도 니보다 모르겠누ㅋ
nice....

Sorry but I can't hear half the notes. Sounds thin and shrill, kinda like a viola. lol
the boy is playing very clearly.
Nikakis Nikolaidis It could be the cello or the way it is miked. But it does not sound very full.

MrYb4ever You really don't know what you are talking about.
John Stuart, mrYb4ever is wrong, but so are you. I can hear the notes very clearly. He blends very well with the orchestra.
Impresionante!!!!! Alguien sabe de quién es la cadencia?
+Belén González Mellado Hola Belén ! es mía ! :)
+Pablo Ferrández qué maravilla!!!!!! Toda mi admiración!!! Me tendré que conformar con la de Gendron 😉 ARTISTAZO!!!!
