I saw Clapton in Barcelona in 98. His guest was Bonnie Raitt. What has stood out over the years is that Clapton loves his peers and honors their contribution. As amazing as Clapton was, Bonnie Raitt's slide was unbelievable and Clapton appreciated a fellow musician's work. Clapton reminds me of that Springsteen quote "No one wins, unless we all win". He loves his peers even if they aren't on his level with a guitar he sincerely appreciates their music. This song is amazing and one of Dylan's best.
Yes, HE is ❣ Ii is just a great plesure and joy, to be here together with all the fans of good music! I' m not alone here in my little room in Germany... i'm tothether thru Bob and Eric and all the friends of their wonderful Music. Sorry for my bad english... 💜
She wrote me a letter And she wrote it so kind She put down in writin' What was in her mind I just don’t see why I should even care It’s not dark yet But it’s getting there
Night is coming. But then I see a morning without clouds, when Yeshua the Messiah appears in the sky. Thank you, Bob, for this wonderful prophetic and biblical song. Thank you, Eric, for a tender and beautiful version. God bless. 😊
Great version of a classic Dylan song. Prophetic lyrics to the downward darkness encroaching this fallen world. The blessed hope of Yeshua's soon return is for real.
Check out the version by Dave Gahan and Soulsavers, which is a darker take on this great song. Then go to Rufus Wainright Junior for a nice melodic interpretation.
I've always believed if jerry lived a few more years, he'd have covered this...and it would've been as amazing as any "baby blue" or " visions of johanna" or "simple twist" but I agree, Bob's studio version is the best there is.
It's funny: always loved Eric's voice, but Bob's gruff croak is much better for this song. MUCH better. No shade to Eric, tho, of course. But Dylan is his own planet.
Too much echo, guitars bad because of that, Hard..each last tone! Pity.. sound brr.. But its Clapton.. Today his Birthday.. Have a HAPPY one Eric Clapton🌺🎶🌺
I no longer have any desire to listen to and have lost all respect for Mr. Clapton. His anti vaccine stance and other nonsense he is supporting show the difference between his state of mind and the music he pretends to love. He should just get real and start touring with Ted Nugent.
You can tell that Eric's feeling this one... "Sometimes my burden's more than I can bear..."
One of my favorite Dylan songs. Actually Its one of my 486 most favorite Dylan songs.
I hear you.
Haha! It’s tough to pick just one
I was thinking the same thing!
One time, I started my own list of favorite Dylan songs. I thought there’d be about two dozen. When I passed 50, I gave up.
Também!
Dylan is our Shakespeare.
It's not dark yet, but it's very close now 2024
Eric should do an Dylan Album, his renditions are really strong
That's a great idea
Indeed
Clapton covering Bob, with Fairweather-Low for company. What a moment.

Still one of my favorite Dylan tunes. I guess you have to be a certain age...
Great Tune
Na, you just gotta know what good music is lol..
Or simply good taste !!
I'm 37 and been a dylan fan since my first show when I was 7, THANKS POPS !!
Well, 23 is a fine age for apreceating Dylan, I've found.
@@huigwoudwijk6579 23 is fine age to do about anything. Wait another 40 and the range of choices will shrink dramatically.
@@pawelpap9 I guess so. Altough I don't really think that's on point for music. And there are things I could do when I'm 60 which I can't now too
Great rendition! I know Dylan's written a lot of songs, but to me, this is his masterpiece.
DYLAN has many masterpieces
Knockin on Heaven’s Door
Love this Dylan's song, and Eric's rendition is just fantastic 💞💞
God Bless Eric Clapton (and His Bobness) ! Bravo ! Encore !
This is wonderful. That song deserves nothing but the best - and gets it here.
Best rendition by Severa Gjurin ...
The echo sucks ,but love ec
on of my countless fav dylan songs
Brilliant, beautiful. Looking forward to the RETURN of LIVE music. STAND & DELIVER
Qui n,a pas chante du Bob Dylan ? Monsieur Clapton vous lui faire honneur avec cette magnifique interprétation..merci
This song is in Dylan's best 100. For most other songwriters, it would be their. Great job, of course, by Mr. Clapton.
My favorite Dylan song covered to perfection.
He always adds to anything he tries, never fails!
Stunning version.
GOD IS HERE
No, I'm not!
Yes, HE is ❣
Ii is just a great plesure and joy, to be here together with all the fans of good music!

Sorry for my bad english... 💜
Dylan, and Clapton Are God's Angels 🙏🙏🙏
@@yamapenny5960 your English is perfect
Great cover , great poem , is Not dark enymor.
She wrote me a letter
And she wrote it so kind
She put down in writin'
What was in her mind
I just don’t see why I should even care
It’s not dark yet
But it’s getting there
Oh my goodness not heard this before, so good, thanks for sharing
I was there, and along with Old Love, this was a standout moment.
Magic eric, One of the best songs ever. Thanks bob and eric.
Cheers Luis
Been covering this since it was first released. Great song. Nice rendition Mr. C. Thanks 🙏
Love this song!
Awesome !
I loved
HI
So beautiful! Great voice perfect for this song. Go Eric! Shalom to us only in Christ Yeshua.

Wow. Nice.
Hot Damn!
Bravo
MOZART WAS THE DYLAN OF 18 CENTURY.....
What's that got to do with the price of tea in China?
⭐️🌟🎸❤️❤️❤️
I think of just one more person who could do this: Mark Knopfler. But he very rarely does any covers
Check out the version by Dave Gahan and Soulsavers, which is a darker take on this great song. Then go to Rufus Wainright Junior for a nice melodic interpretation.
I would love to hear a Tom Waits cover.
❤️
What guitar is eric using?
Only one man can sing that song
I've always believed if jerry lived a few more years, he'd have covered this...and it would've been as amazing as any "baby blue" or " visions of johanna" or "simple twist" but I agree, Bob's studio version is the best there is.
Not Dylans, whoever may have arranged music around the storyline which is mine..
2 for 1 !
Any idea when this was recorded?
Looks like 2011
2009 shows at RAH
Who's his guitar partner? I used to know but forgot.
Andy Fairweather Low.
Thanks man 👍🏻
When did Bob write it? For what album?
1997. Album is Time out of Mind.
It's funny: always loved Eric's voice, but Bob's gruff croak is much better for this song. MUCH better. No shade to Eric, tho, of course. But Dylan is his own planet.
The Welsh Wizard too.
Too much echo, guitars bad because of that, Hard..each last tone! Pity.. sound brr.. But its Clapton.. Today his Birthday.. Have a HAPPY one Eric Clapton🌺🎶🌺
Clapton normally the virtuose on guitar.. Musicman in heart !
Dave gahan from depeche mode much better cover,,,,
God help us

He did take the vaccine,,you do know that don’t you.God knows what else you’re rambling on about
