I can’t imagine how cold you all would have been 🥶 hopefully you can get the diesel heater sorted but I guess by then you’ll be I’m warmer weather. Love your videos thanks guys for another good one 😊
We cook corn cobs still encased in their husks straight in the fire and yes the husks burn . Recommend to soak the corn cobs with husks in water for about an hour before putting on the fire particularly if they are a bit dry . Once cooked , dollops of butter , salt and pepper . Yum .
Interesting that the cold got your fusion-locks, ours fell off recently (parked up at home) with a couple of minus overnight temps, reckon you’re right! I had the disks under it and that’s what gave way. Enjoying your travels and living vicariously until August when we take off for a trip.
August will be here in no time! We have put some super glue between the rubber and plastic and put them Back on and they seem rock solid now, hopefully thats a win for those
Hey guys that deepwater camping spot is bloody awesome, not sure if you remember the little dam in the river by camp but myself and the kids made that one afternoon when the water level was a bit lower. We used hot water bottles before our diesel heater and just recycled the water in them and reheated. Keep up the good work Cheers
Ah thats so cool! Yeh it was a nice spot! Yes we used hot water bottles the first 2 years too but got rid of them when the heater worked so well, wish we tucked them away now. I had the heater fixed a week after this though 👌🏻
Our YT episode at Deepwater looks alot different. It was pouring rain and we got googled and come in through the town track instead of off the highway😂😂.little bit of van damage 😢 Great stop though
Is the Deep Water pub still closed, I use to always stop over at the pub, free if you have a meal. Last time I went thru that way the pub was all chained up with big locks, about 18 months ago. Loved where you camped. Thanks. Liam loves helping and trying eh, so good.😊
Im not sure actually we didn’t pay much attention to the pub when we drove past. Do love a country pub with camping but wasn’t what we were looking for that week
My Diesel heater would not start when camped at Lythgo in NSW. It turned out to be too cold and the diesel had turned waxy. A small amount of kerosene in the fuel fixed it.
Have hears this! And people using alpine diesel when they go to the snow. Ours was the motor itself that failed, relatively cheap on Ebay and easy to replace. That will be this sundays video
We have had heaps of trouble with our fusion locs as well. Got on to them and if you wash the rubber things in hot water and let dry thoroughly they will generally go back on. Ours tend to come off when it’s really hot for some reason.
Ah yeh the old hit water wash! Worked for my car mount. We have found super gluing the rubber but into the plastic bit helps too! Give it a try if they come off again, so fsr so good for us
I’ve had trouble with fusion locs repeatedly coming off once they’ve come off once, seems like they don’t seem to stick as well ever again. Not sure if there is a fix for it. I’ve also had the little round bit break when the ones with 2 attachments fall off, which is annoying as you can’t use them again.
Yeh weve had some of those little bits break too. Weve found if you super glue the rubber seal into the plastic part then it doest tend to hold its suction again. Weve put ours back up and its been a few weeks so far. Worth a try
Great teamwork on the reversing, done like the pros you both are. Thanks for sharing.
Haha thanks, teamwork makes the dream work

Yeh was a very chilly night that one!
Diesel heater parts arrived shortly after this, sundays video actually.
Much better now
5 degrees. That's almost tropical. Haha
I admire you guys. A lot of people would give up doing what you do with two little kids.
Good on ya team.
😊
Hahaha if thats tropical for you im never coming to visit 😅 we are not ones to give up, so many great moments definitely outweigh any tricky ones

Oh i didnt think to soak it in water, thanks for the tip i will definitely be doing that next time! This did work out ok but always keen to improve!
Glad u survived the off frid cold. Your definatlly a better cook than me.
That meal was delicious!!

How good is Deep water. We stayed there a few months back and loved it. Will head back again when have time to relax and enjoy it more.
It is a nice little spot! Was nice and quiet and just what we were looking for.
Thanks for watching guys
I found if my Fusion Locks fell off, I cleaned the grey rubber part with GOO Remover and they were like new again.
Ooh good tip, ive glued the rubber into the plastic and they havent budged since but if they fall again il try the goo remover.
Thanks for the tip

Ah, that’s a good idea, cos the rubber bit coming out is the main issue if the rest is intact. Thanks

Hi love ya vids just fyi towns are pronounced EL-LAW-ra and Dol-bee
Haha weve been having plenty of problems with the pronunciation apparently 😅 thanks for watching
Easy as I love trying to pronounce town names always get them wrong sometimes deliberately lol and sorry auto correct el la ra
@gooffynjack3301 haha we really struggled in NSW, too many silent letters in the middle of the word
