      NHTSA rates vehicles on a scale of one to five. The 2022+ Jeep Compass earned Four Stars for the driver and Four Stars for the passenger in this test, earning a Four Star Overall star rating in the Frontal Impact.
      All injury readings were within FMVSS 208 limits as well.

      I've been trying, for some time, to understand NHTSA's star rating scheme. I haven't found sufficient info at this time to figure out the subtle differences in ratings. Injury levels were low and comparable to other Four and Five star cars, so I don't know for sure if NHTSA includes airbag/seatbelt performance and interaction into the rating.
