First off, to ensure you get a perfectly straight line on your first cut, I would measure off the end of your material where the overlap is and put a mark at both ends and run a chalk line down it. It’ll wipe off easily and rave you with a perfectly straight line. Also, when cutting thicker rubber material it is always good to score first (as said in the video) but on your second cut, bevel the material back towards itself to leave a gap for the glue to come in and lock your rubber into place. Then after making sure you have no overlaps or “stubborn bits” as he says, I would suggest you lay tape over the seem and roll a 100 or 200 lb roller over the entire floor to push out air bubbles. Then, put stone bricks down on top of your tape and let it sit for 24 hours. That is how to guarantee your floor will have straight seems with no overlaps or bubbles

Dallas Ayers ever heard of an underscribe? Chalk lines are for amateurs.

      Ever heard of the eyecrometer?
And Crass if you can underscibe a residential cushion back vinyl and make it look good I'd be very surprised

      @@CRASS2047 What is underscribe?

@@aaronjesperson6917 I install rolled vinyl gym floors for 15 years now with either 5mm, 7.5mm or 8.3mm cushion back. I use an underscribe on every single cross seam( head seam ). You straight edge one side and use and underscribe on the second piece. It makes flawless seams

@@jamesduff6937 it’s a tool for scoring vinyl on an overlapped seam. The under part rides the hidden edge on the bottom while the top scores the overlapping piece. You then cut along the score and you get a perfect seam. I’ve used them my entire career on hospitals and vinyl gym floors for the last 15 years. They are amazing

Great video ... this video didn't show if you had double stick tape under it?

What about a sealer no need for it?
