Jomtien Pattaya Beach. Very Quiet Chinese New Year Weekend 2024 🇹🇭

- A walk along Jomtien Pattaya Beach on Chinese New Year weekend. It was very quiet on the beach. I saw only a handful of Chinese tourists arriving to celebrate Chinese New Year in Jomtien this year. There has been a lack of Chinese visitors recently and I saw no celebrations on Jomtien Pattaya Beach.
Thailand celebrates Songkran in April and also the 1st of January as their main New Year celebrations. However, you will still see many restaurants in Jomtien displaying traditional Chinese decorations over the weekend.
Jomtien is located on the east coast of the Gulf of Thailand about 155 km from Bangkok in the Chonburi Province, Thailand. It's a short bus ride from Central Pattaya.

No advertising..is good for me..I prefer a natural noise when you videoing...so if it's windy..that's what it is. Nice video keep up the good work & great attitude..gaz.
Thanks Gary. 🙏
Thanks Heath for not allowing adds on your channel in respect to your followers
We all love watching your videos of our Beautiful Jomtien Beach and its surroundings without interruptions
I like that your keeping it real and don't edit the sounds of nature. It also just makes me that little bit more homesick🥲
Cheers, Robert. I hate ads in the middle of videos. So many people are doing it these days, too many ads and I normally click off the video. 🤔
Hey Heath,- Your videos have gotten better with each new nuance. I like your background music,as a rule, but the live street sounds make it almost sensory enough to smell the smoke and odors of the carts. So your choice. I really liked the juxtaposing of the improvements in the 3 week segment. Very impressive to me. The one thing I can think to improve on, for me, is if you could pick out some of the most recognizable structures or locations and put them in a comparative map so I would realize distance and time better. Thank you for your efforts. Your product is near tops.
Many thanks for the feedback. 🙏
Good video Heath.I believe the Chinese lanterns have been banned due to the pollution they create.Very ironic with all the leaded
vehicles that run around out there.
I wondered what was going on. I saw one. 🤔
Hate in-video ads. Really enjoy your videos!
Thanks. 👍
The bhat buses in Jomtien, are incredibly crowded. I was one of 18 people on one recently. I spoke to a couple yesterday, and they had been waiting 20 minutes, and only full buses passed. Probably due to the very high numbers of Russian visitors, but this problem needs remedying, otherwise i am very much enjoying Jomtien.
Don't mind the wind noise on the videos. I've noticed that the wind picks up in Feb, is this normal or a little unusual. Asking for a friend who is visiting Jomtien in Feb next year!
There's often a strong breeze on the beach front. 👍
Nice video should be there soon..😎
Thanks. 🙏
No adverts great choice!! New to channel and enjoying and finding informative. Looking to retire in Jomtien. Single so need a good source of local things. All the best
Thank you. Welcome to the channel. 🙏
Next year you will see a lot more. Thailand's visa free arrangement with China will be effective from 1st of March this year.
Going to be a lot of people from northern China to spend winter in Pattaya; this year they are in Hainan ( the island province).
Because this season it is very cold in northern China.
What comes after the wind ?. I guess you have to follow through with something exciting.
Thanks for your video's very helpfull
You are welcome. 😎
the button.... finally someone said that! thanks!
You're welcome. Easy once you know. 😎
@@oneendofthailand a small button for you and the people who know from it, but a huge step for the mankind who never was in Thailand 🙂

It looks pretty quiet for February. . Where are all the people ?
Cut out wind! :)
Thanks Heath, I enjoy all the natural sounds on your videos, including the wind :)
Cheers, Phil. 👍

So relaxing
It’s the wind…..😂
Thank you. 👍
I wish you would actually talk a lot more in your videos because you really come across very well in them when you do talk.Keep up the good work love watching your content
Thanks for the compliment. 👍
Got to love sleepy Jomtien. My favourite thing in Jomtien is the condos and the world class facilities some of them have I just wish the ocean wasn’t so polluted. The locals tell me that they flush all of the poo 💩 poo.💩 from the condos to the ocean and if you’re staying in a condo on a high floor you can see it all. 😢😢😢😮
Really??? Is it illegal?
Same all down the east coast.
@traveladrian This is not something I am aware of. 🤔
It was a little noisy up here near Soi Welcome and parts north of there. Not super loud, but not quiet. Some late night fireworks and a LOT of foot traffic on both sides of Beach Road. But I didn't see any lanterns either. It's definitely not Jan 1st or Songkran level activity. It looks like this video has been created in the exact area I am currently perusing.
Heath, how far down the beach do you shoot most of your videos compared to that same Soi Welcome? I am condo hunting along Jomtien Beach and don't know much about the properties south my immediate area. Are some shot near Van Talay 8?
Can you throw out a few names of nice places down the beach that direction or refer me to a video you may have already made on the subject? Thank you. I always enjoy your videos.
Thanks. The beach is quieter from about Soi 15 up. These videos may help regarding the beach front condos.

@@oneendofthailand Thank you for the links. I knew you had something out here, but couldn't find it on 1st pass for some reason.
@@daisy-bp1cz Thanks for the tip. I'll look into it.
The wind is magnified by the microphone and doesn't sound natural.,
My thoughts and 100 Baht can buy a cup of coffee.
Ha! I'm the 1st to like & the 1st to comment!
You are. 👍
Jomtien is in South or North pattaya bro?
Jomtien is a few km South of Pattaya, nearby but much more laid-back.
In Pattaya 😂😂😂
Where else is the world have you traveled? Did you travel to different tropical locations or did you just do your homework on Jomtien Pattaya?
I have visited about 15 countries. I did not know much about Jomtien when I first came to Thailand as I lived in east Pattaya.
This is cool
Thanks. 😎
