I love that you still talking about Armada. While AMG neglects it, the more folks we can seduce into it, the better. Still tied with Legion for my #1 game.
Thank you for continuing to show some Armada love. I have been guilty of not playing enough lately, but still is one of my all time favorite games. Thank you.
I got reeeeeally lucky. A local player was selling off a friends stock pile. Got the Republic Starter, x2 Squadron Expansions, and the Card Upgrade pack for, take a deep breath, $90. I’m really excited to start playing
Your buy first videos for the empire and rebels were really informative and helpful when I started Armada. Great to hear you are updating them and making videos for the cw factions as well!
I'm glad you're doing these now, very useful for new players. I like the addition of the RRs and the campaigns. One thing to note about the two new factions, that is very thematic, is that it's so much easier to access to the "most competitive" CIS lists (take that with a grain of salt, CIS has never won any major tournaments and is unlikely to win any in the near future sadly) and so much cheaper (under 200$, with the upgrade card collection). The Republic on the other hand is much more expensive to get into, but is starting to have success competitively with Bail winning major events, and casually with Anakin.
X-Wing Player here. Just joined the discord, it's great having all your videos in one location and being able to ask questions. Thank you! My Tie-Bombers YT-2400 arrived last week. They look great. I feel Scum got the short end of the stick when it comes to the YT-2400, but the paint job looks great. I'm going to follow this guide as my first purchases into Armada. Republic vs Separatists just seems so epic!
Having a second core set, for the sake of having the extra dice and maneuvers tools alone, I find makes the game go quicker and flow better. For years me and a buddy both had core sets, so whenever we got together games were pretty straightforward. He still plays, every now and then, but I play more currently with another friend who doesn't have anything, seeing as I have mostly one copy of everything. So when we started playing, it was a lot of keeping track of who rolled what and then having to factor in dice mitigation, to say our brains were fried after a session is an understatement. Once I got a Republic and Separatist core set, playing was so much easier cause we didn't have to worry about it at all. It was also nice because at the time the upgrade card collection came out and gave us more options as well. I know some people who play exclusively at home use proxy cards, but we try to only use what we have on hand, we find we make more distict fleets that way and I can't say I've ever run the same fleet twice before.
While I never plan on playing Armada, as I find myself liking Dropfleet more, and only plan on buy the Venator as it’s one of my favorite capital ships, I still like watching these
Dial pack is the only (non-starter) source of pass tokens. I might have to get that for pass tokens just because there might be someone who says "you cant use proxy".
Btw, I still would like you to cover all Rebel and Imperial ships just because a lot of people use your videos to jump into the game and it would br a good source of information for them :)
If you are restarting the "What to Buy First on a Budget" series , why not show new players a basic set-up and play for them? If I remember correctly, didn't FFG put out a set of rules for a 200 pt game on a 3x3 playmat? No large ships and no commanders. Something like that might get more people interested in the game itself.

Starter set, Venator, squadron pack is the way to go with Republic, very informative!

I’m so glad to see a armada video this is my favorite tabletop Star Wars game!!!!!!
Nice one crabbok, liking the Armarda love
I've got almost everything for Empire and Rebels, but I've been thinking about getting the Republic as well. Thanks for this!

Thank you! This is super helpful for me, an Imperial and Rebels player who is interested in the other factions.
Would love to see a new Clone Wars era 2 player starter set
Very helpful guide for a new player like me. Got both of the starter sets for the republic and the separatist and was curious on what to get next!

Congrats Adam - Thanks Crabbok for the video.

Sort of... technically it first came out with the Super Star Destroyer.
@@CrabbokI did not know about that. I'll ask my local group if they have spares.
Literally just bought like a third of this list. Ha
Good guide, pretty much what I did when I got into the game with republic. I just need another venator
Armada needs some extra love from AMG and maybe some smaller format games for quicker matches!
1) TTS
Once you have TTS you can play with everything and figure out what you like from there.
I have a buddy who will find this helpful, thank you!

If only I could find a venator in stock lol anyone got any tips to find one?
So slightly issues the 2 player starter cost 200$+ where I live, is it still possible to somehow play this without selling my left kidney?
I don’t suppose you’re planning a CIS what to buy next?🙏
O Since I don't know anyone Slim, I would like to play, so I wanted to make my own venator, arqvedence, v-wing
no armada on ministravaganza :-( makes us sad
no x-wing too 😞
I had hard time selling Victory for a 10$, friend decided to get GAR core set and he bought it from me. Nobody wants them :D
I would love to start this game. But, I think my wife would murder me if I came home with $200 worth of star wars stuff. Again.
