Good video! I truly hope and believe that they will one day return to Armada and add at-least some new ships. The Star Wars universe is so big, they have so much room to expand. If we can get Armada to be a more well known game, we can probably convince them to make more !

What I've learned about the Consular Armed Cruiser - 1 Consular is bad; 4 Consulars are fantastic. They can shred low-hull squadrons, go just about anywhere, and basically act like bombers (that can also ram and can't be locked down) racking up chip damage against larger ships. Lose one and you're only out 37pts, and you've got 3 more coming right up. Run them alongside a SPHAT Venator or a Nevoota Bee w/ plenty of squads.
While there isn't a lot of variation in the fleet in TCW or films which is somewhat representative now in the pause on new designs, I think they have missed out on just how many different things they could do with Admirals/officers to make these ships so very different.
Where as the Separatists have had plenty more ship types visualised in TCW and films with not many Admirals/Officers, that they've lost out on the diversity through the ship types.
When I first heard that TCW ships were coming... I immediately thought of one thing... recreating the battle of Coruscant. Instead I feel more inclined to stick with the OT era because of all the variations of builds possible with so many ships and officers.

Thanks for these fleet videos Crabbok, they’re fun to watch and I’m glad you’re still making Armada content too! Are you planning on doing videos for Rebel and Imperial fleets too? Also, what about squadron breakdowns? I don’t think that I’ve seen you do a breakdown on squads yet.
I love star wars armada! I have been playing awhile. I like making story lines and play the ships in a rpg style of play. I also like the real rules. I like to make up crazy situations then play them out in the game rules. I will have a ship by a space station and have it take 3 rounds to get the people off the station.while a large fleet warps in a distance away. Then play it out while trying to get out alive. I play a lot of d and d. Thank you for your work on star wars armada.
I just started collecting the Republic and Rebel Alliance! This really helped out a lot. Shame that it looks like the Venator is out of stock in a lot of places (and ebay wants 2x the market price)
May be good to include squadrons in this, or make a separate video

One of the intersting things about the Venator II is that unless you're actually at close range, side and front arc are equally strong with 2 red and 2 blue. That might be useful to remember when you're considering your deployment and movement options, especially if your oppponent isn't keen on gettin close. Of course, it also means double arcing is really good, too.
The GAR Pelta seems like a really great support ship, posibly better than the Rebel Pelta. Fleet Support and Support team on one ship is really nice. Fleet Commands are great, but you often need to create some token-feeding machine to ensure you can power them, and the Rebel Pelta is more expensive (it has more firepower, but you might not even care about that), so it cuts deeper into your budget. Of course, it also competes with the much cheaper Rebel and Imperial Flotillas. No Support Team, but... soo cheap.
Armnament-Wise, the C70 Charger seems better than the Rebel Corvette actually, since two red dice make it easier to double arc even when exp. But the Contain is really weak, it has only 4 hull anyway.

Republic Arquitens for the win!!
I'd really like another Acclimator and Munificent but there's no way I'm dropping another $80+ on each of them since I don't want more of the small ships. Wish they would sell those by themselves. Got in for GAR and CIS but have ended up with a big Rebel fleet instead because there's so many more options that can be had for relatively cheap. Was even able to pick up a small Imperial fleet recently for just a little more than a single large Clone Wars ship, prices/selection/availability really a downer on my preferred factions.
You would think that since only 2 of the Venator's 8 main guns can fire forward, broadsides would be its better output.

What is the restocking like for these expansion packs. Is the Venator sold out for good, will there be more releases or what?
