thank you, excellent video. You saved me a bunch of time, I got a sharp microwave and once I saw the offset lock in your video and realized the motor shaft keeps the coupler centered and won't let it come out of the top until the motor is removed I got my sharp coupler out. I was about ready to disassemble the whole microwave to get to the coupler.
Another way is to first unplug the microwave, Then open the door, and remove the screws holding the door. Set the door to the side. Remove the plate and the turntable. Set the Turntable coupling over the hole. Using a 15 lb sludge hammer strick the coupling directly in the center until it fits through the Hole.
Why do you have to remove back and motor ? The coupler comes out from the top ,without opening the motor location ....
There are different coupler designs. On this one the motor had to be removed, on others the coupler can just be lifted out.
You did not do anything to unlock the lock on the coupler while removing and also while replacing ....What kind of lock is that ?
Your model may be different, but we did talk about and showed the locking tab in the video.
So after watching this video, the viewer will think I better call the Appliance Pro to install the part. Complete and total rip off.
