These are awesome stoves and butane burns 2-3 percent hotter than normal gas, very fast.

I have set it up the same and when I switch it on I get a hissing and gas smell only . Could it be the gas canister? I don’t know what to do

I was having the same problem until I put the cannister in the exact same position as in the video. The hissing & leaking stopped & then I could light & use. 🙏

Make sure canister is correctly installed and that the burn plate is turned around its a safety feature that won't allow it to switch on

@Prince Mkhondo Hi Prince, I hope you are well. The team at Checkers helped me on this one. Before you twist the knob, you need to first push it in, with your hand still pushing the knob in, turn it all the way down till you hear a "click" sound. This ignites the full flame, you can then adjust the flame accordingly.
