  • I was so shocked when I first saw this cutscene... It answers a metric ton of questions the community has about Kane.
... As well as add a metric ton more questions!

I wish we would have learned more of Kane's connection with the Scrin.

Nod was going to be part of the story in the Tiberium FPS game, and was going to be playable in the Multiplayer...

A truly missed opportunity by EA to explore the deeper connections with scrin and may be other aliens species

According to the Lore, there is another alien species, and there are four words translated from the Tacitus that basically confirm this.
The four words are: Brother, Ascended, Enemy & Scrin.
There is also confirmation that the way the "Scrin" communicate is similar to the Tacitus, but with some notable differences, and the aliens that invaded Earth mention a different alien species they call the Scrin.
The in-game faction isn't called the Scrin in origin, humanity called them that as a mistaken identity, instead what Scrin refers to is this other alien species. It's unknown what the true name of ether species are called, so lets simplify it...
      In-game aliens: Scrin
      Lore aliens: Ascended
There are a ton of hint in the Intel database that the Scrin and Ascended might have had a common ancestor that evolved on the same planet, plus the fact that while Scrin need Tiberium to survive, they are not immune to its mutation, meaning that the Scrin were carbon-based life forms at one point. This pretty much parallels what happened to the Forgotten, we may be seeing the Scrin's backstory unfold and never even knew it. So, it's likely that an alien species discovered Tiberium and at some point had a divide where some of the more fanatic groups started injecting themselves with the stuff, and the rest evacuating out into space.
The only difference is Kane, without Kane, Nod wouldn't exist, Without Nod, the story might have gone a very different route. My theory is that if Nod never existed then Humanity would have mirrored the Scrin in some way if Earth didn't get invaded after an 'Ichor LQ detination' that would eventually happen later on because Kane was the reason why the Scrin were lured to Earth earlier than expected.
I have a playlist that has Lore videos made by No Strings Prd, go to it and watch a video titles "The Tacitus, the Scrin, and the Ascended"
It should be the second-to-last one listed (I would like to link it, but TH-cam doesn't allow links in comments).

@@KaneLivesInDeath That all sounds really cool and all, but dont you think its more likely that EA just didnt clean up there ''the story might go here''? It seems overly convoluted for a C&C plot that the scrin actually not the scrin but there are scrin. I did see your lore videos, but this stood out to me as well, seeing that you commented here 2 days ago, I figured I might as well ask :)

@@Woutva Well Westwood did have plans on adding The Forgotten and CABAL as DLC factions, who know if they were going to have any missions surrounding them...
