I'm thinking about upgrading from FHD (1080p) to QHD (1440p) and seeing if it's even possible to upgrade the cable from 30 pin to 40 pin. Some say HP suggests the same parts for both screens, which I find weird but cool if it's even possible.

Please reply. Can i put new 840 G2 1080p ips in 840 G1. My current resolution is 1600x900. Will it work?
You should be taking the battery out before replacing the screen.
