I was sitting on the fence between the beast and the flagship. Your video gave me clarity. I ordered the flagship and it will be here this week. Thanks for your video 🙃🙃🙃
Love my recteq's i have the 1280 and the 380X. Like you my buddies convinced me to make the switch. I was coming from a Pitboss that i had replaced the internals a couple of times because i use my grill so much. Haven't had to do it with the recteq yet and its been almost two years so that's a win. They are great products and i didn't know about the family events at the HQ. Love the fact that you took some time to just be a dad in this video. Keep it up and this channel will blow up before you know it.
i have pitboss700 and brother in law wants me to make the switch. in YOUR opinion...do you notice any difference with your food from PB to Rec tec? bro in law and i used same pellets.....his food has much better smoke flavor.... did u find any difference? and i hear u about replacing internals!
@@MainahTony I did notice a big improvement in smoke flavor and smoke ring when using the recteq. For just regular burgers and more grill oriented foods the pit boss did better. That's why I got the bullseye because it's a grill and not a smoker really and I was going through pellets like crazy because I use a grill/smoker at least 4 times a week all year.
@@jm52128 and thats what i want, the huge difference in smoke flavor... burgers on a smoker tho are prety good. thanks for that reply def gonna get a rectec...
I bought a Traeger for my wife. It couldn’t maintain temp so I took it back 2 days later. I liked the idea so I did my research and got an RT. We now fight over who is going to cook!
I just bought the 1100 as well! I’m wondering if you’ve ever checked the ambient temp with one of those probe and compared it to the actual grill temperature? When I have my grill set to 225 and have a ambient temp prob in there it reads around 280
I’m on the fence, I’ve had Traeger forever but it’s been unreliable as of late to say the very least. The hopper is nice for long smokes but living in fla with all the humidity I absolutely cannot leave pellets in grill between cooks because I get back burn so I have to empty it. I also want some lights inside grill, currently I use LED magnetic but would like it built in. I just wish it had a pellet dump.
I like it. It's nice and big. I get plenty of smoke flavor. I do have to watch to make sure it doesn't over heat. The app gives a warning @ 50 deg over, that's handy. Could be the smoker or the pellets causing it. I haven't called Recteq yet. I use Knotty Wood pellets, these cause clinkers. You HAVE to clean out the clinkers before your next cook. Any more questions, send em. @@Shawshank_Sr

I like to bake handmade bread in mine. The app and Recteq youtube is awesome for recipes.

That’s a worthy fight 😆 time to get another one 😉

I haven’t, I’ll have to test it out though

Is there a difference between the smoke between the two? Or would you say they are similar?
The pellets, was a good try. Lovin' my Backyard Beast 1000
I'm just about ready to pull the trigger on the Beast, but can't find any reviews. How do you like it?

I just bought the RT-1250 and I love it!!
glad you do. Get the smokebox if you don't have it. Over 200+ hours on my 1250 and it has been a fantastic experience.
I just got my 1250 last week cooked on it every day
Recteq Baby!
Facts we love ours too
its a glorified electric oven , that uses imitation flavored sawdust
Still taste good, every grill is a glorified oven if you look at it that way

And I guess a horse and buggy is how a real man drives around? LMFAO I’m sorry that someone with a “glorified oven” hurt your feelings
