L58031-28 on the Burford Spur in Brantford ON

Here we see CN Train L58031-28 heading down the Burford Spur in Brantford Ontario on Wednesday May 28th 2014. 580 is heading towards the TH and B Spur where they will head east to deliver this car to Ingenia the last remaining customer on the former Toronto Hamilton and Buffalo line.

I never really understood what is happening when the conductor is doing with the lights when he goes to the box. Does this turn on the crossing further down the road?

Basically there is a traffic light just before the cars go into the right turn lane onto the tracks, so he is using a control inside the box to change the light to red to block cars from entering the turn lane while it is occupied by a train. Once he pushes it the cars stop and they wait for the cars already in the lane to move and then they proceed.

Nice catch. Train and fire action! But I would have shown the fire trucks until out of sight and returned the the slow train.
1:21 Mee-mool light *(o)T(o)* bells begin ringing. 25 seconds minimum warning before train entered the crossing?
Why did you not pan left and show the conflict of the train with traffic in the lane? That was the most interesting part!Are the signals on a timer activated by themployee? Or does he return the signals to normal at another box after the train clears the street lane?
