  • This video begins on the Clarence St and Yes this is the famous street running portion of the Brantford Burford, but from this angle it's difficult to see the part that goes through the road.
We get back in our car and after a brief stop we catch the QGRY 2301 just coming off Clarence St.
In the last segment we notice another important feature of Brantford, Ontario "Burford spur" and that is the closeness of the neighbourhood built up around the Burford Spur cutting in between peoples backyards and literally we see some homes are less then 10 feet from the tracks.
If you like this video. Then we recommend watching some of this other videos.

+Railfan99 Thanks. The best day to try is on wednesday. I'm 2/3 with the catching the burford on that day. The best guy to ask is brantfordrailfan or railpast. They'll tell you the same thing. They are there about 9am.

This is my favorite line just because of the street running, hopefully there is no talk of this line being unused. Went CN had this line there was talk of them abandoned it. I hope this line out lives me.

+Shawn Stephens afaik. These tracks are own by ingenia and are serviced by SOR railway. As long as ingenia is in business and fixes the tracks as needed. I think they could survive for a little while longer. However it sad to see how much of the burford has been lifted. I wish some of it could be built back to the old TH&B station.

Superb video!! I especially like the side-of-street running along Clarence Street. It's also nice to see a woman brakeman!!

Thank you very much! This is a rare site especially in Canada. I am not aware of any other place that have them anymore here. I know there a few places in the USA and I hope to check them out one day.

An industrial branch line, that looks like a plastics hopper the locomotive has in tow.

Indeed there is a place at the end of this Spur called Ingenia Polymer. They are exactly the only reason this spur still even exist. They purchased this spur from CN(Not sure when) and run with a trackmobile vehicle to service the line.

Awesome! I can't wait until christmas break when i can see this train again. Or maybe i could ditch school for a day lol. I haven't been uploading recently because of my busy life but i just uploaded two videos today. One isn't train related but i think you should like it or leave a comment.

It's good your life is busy with school and a job.
I think I might take a holiday off one day and go back to Brantford next spring just for some mainline action. I was back and forth between downtown and the station this day and missed 3 or 4 mainline trains while driving around in traffic.
Anyways I'm gonna check out those videos you posted. TTYL

Great video. Not much revenue to pay the bills on that trip

Indeed this is a small train and does not usually get longer the 6 cars. I think 2-4 cars is usually the average.

Why was that motorcyclist riding so close to the traat 4:18?

    • @Trains4Fun
      @Trains4Fun  2 ปีที่แล้ว

It's hard to tell from this angle, but the train is actually driving on the road here. So the motorcyclist is having to steer around the train to make the turn.

To be honest I was waiting for him at the Via Station, but then I heard him blow his horn a few times.
I realized then he had gone straight to the street. I panic to catch up to him, but then I thought I wouldn't have had enough time to get otherside in time.
So that why I was largely not in a great spot. However I did on another occasion catch him on the other side.
