I read on a kindle 99% of the time now after having kindles for about 12 years. I own about 30 physical books that I really, really love and that's all. I currently own 1500 kindle books.
I haven't even watched this yet but as an early adopter and long time user of the Kindle, I can wholeheartedly say that the Kindle is so very worth it. I have 1100+ books on my Kindle, all on a device smaller than a book. That's 1100 books that I don't have to move, store, shelve. The ability to buy and start reading a book within seconds caused me to start using it. The other benefits have kept me using it. I'll never go back to physical books.
Got me the normal 6 inch kindle, fits great in my hands because I’m smaller and it’s my savior when some of my bags aren’t big enough for a thick physical book And it’s blue, my favorite color
I love my oasis so much. I actually have 2, and I protect them with my life because I know how hard they are to find now lol. Definitely the most comfortable device for me!
I absolutely love my Kindle Paperwhite I have it in the agave green and love it. I don't use kindle unlimited but I use a app called Libby and if you have a library card it's awesome and it's free to get books. I'm definitely a kindle girl 🙂
would love kindle videos. I use the library mostly for ebooks. So glad my library overdrive lets me put 50 on hold. I did the trial of unlimited and on the fence about keeping it so any videos would be great to help with the decision.
We have the Kindle Oasis (because I wanted ours to match) and love them! I'm actually in the process of selling off a lot of my physical books because I want the space in my house back. We've agreed to only own the physical copy of books that are either super niche or that we have already read and love (and can get a fancy edition of). I finally joined KU about 3 months ago and am hooked. Between my Libby account/library cards, Hoopla, and KU, I can access almost every book I have wanted to read. The one thing I'll say about KU is that I think it is a nightmare to navigate in trying to find books via browsing, but if you know what author or title you are looking for it is easy.
Like most technology kindles come out on top by any metric you choose yet I still find myself reading physical books more. I think a paper book at the sea with the breeze in the pages and an afternoon walking around a new bookshop are the high life.
Would love to see a video on ur accessories & more tips please! I have a Fire tablet but would like to get a kindle just for reading, for the size & no chance for those pesky notifications/opps for distractions 😊
I have a paper white with the highest space and I love it !! I will say that I love the kindle unlimited service I do pay for it but you can read many books by borrowing them rather than buying all of them. I am a student and try to keep subscriptions low. I don’t really watch movies or tv shows so entertainment wise I am ok with having TH-cam and kindle unlimited. You do also get rewards/discounts for purchases if you wish to do so. I only buy books if I end up loving them and knowing that I will be re-reading them again. I wanted to say I love your video and how you had explained everything ❤
I got rid of my tree edition books. I am so used to kindle I don't miss them. Also I download books to kindle app my phone when I don't have WiFi to download a book. Also kindle format is at least half the price of physical books. I use to commute by train to work. Books added weight to my work bag. Another reason I don't miss books. I had kindles since the first gen. Last had paperwhite. Last year got the scribe. I use it as daily planner for work as well as reading. Colorsoft Kindle released couple of weeks ago. So color is available. Also highlighting and writing in books is available for some models.
I have 2 kindles: the paperwhite in green and the kindle scribe with pencil. I love to travel with paperwhite and at home I read on Kindle Scribe. I like to read on the Kindle Scribe because of the 10.2” screen. Another con is reading book out of order like the Bible it’s difficult to navigate out of order. Also many Kindle Bibles are not accurate so be careful when buying one. I recommend The Didache Bible it’s available as an e reader.
Love this!! It’s always so hard to choose if I want to use my kindle or get a physical copy of the book! 😀 I just gave my mom my paperwhite because she wanted to start reading but didn’t want physical copies of books. So I’m getting myself the green paperwhite now 😆🥳 lol. Absolutely love your style and your content!! ❤ What color Oasis does Anders have?
@@sophiak8485 ahh yay!!! thank you so much! I’m so addicted to using my kindle because I love how fast I can read on them! it’s so much fun to keep up good momentum 🤓 the green paperwhite is stunning!! Anders has the graphite color and mine is the champagne!

I love that I can read in the dark without those book lights that always wake my husband. Also so much more travel friendly. I can read outside or even in the rain with no worries! I also read 30000x faster than a normal book for some reason.
My first kindle made me sell all my physical books and today with my ereader collection I have no regret whatsoever. The only thing I miss about books is the smell of it 😂😂
I can't remember off the top of my head but you really don't need many GB! I think mine maybe is 16GB? but 8GB would be totally fine too. the books hardly take up any space! I think the a new paperwhite model is gonna be released later this year so you could wait for that but the current model is awesome too!
One con that I just realized and am worried about is that when I purchase Kindle books, I don’t technically “own” them. Amazon can remove them if it decides not to carry that book anymore. We are paying for the right to access and read the books only while Amazon provides them. I bought ACOTAR and other books on Kindle important to me thinking that I would have them forever. That may not be the case. Do you ever worry about that when purchasing books? I thought about those that own 1500 kindle books and if they thought about losing them due to Amazon’s changing catalog.
@@yoatzinrdz7901 no! there’s kindle unlimited as a membership but you do not have to subscribe to that. you do have to buy the e books you want to download to your kindle so that is an added cost but kindle unlimited isn’t required!
You said in case they come out with a new Oasis well I'm sorry but it was discontinued about 6 months ago. I guess because the batteries suck and people complain about it.
@@readingequalshappiness I acknowledged that the oasis is currently discontinued! I did some research before the video and some people mentioned in tech blogs that it’s possible they could release a “new and improved” version of the oasis at some point, but probably not likely. The battery is definitely not as great as my paperwhite but it’s not a big deal to me. I did mention I think the paperwhite is most worth it though so think we’re in agreement :)
@@LottieSmalley Assuming they still do this, you can send certain formats of ebooks by email to your kindle(official thing by amazon). You can also connect your kindle via USB to your PC and send it to your kindle like that.
