Yamaha Blaster Bogging Problem SOLVED

  • 2005 Yamaha Blaster with a No-Rev / Bogg problem.
    Troubleshooting led to reveal the TORS circuit malfunctioning and not fully closing, even with the bypasses in place.
    An absolute TORS bypass is demonstrated in this video by grounding the Yellow and Black wire coming from the CDI/TORS control unit.
    This CDI/TORS control unit 1-piece setup is for the 2002-2006 Yamaha Blasters. The previous generation has two separated units.
    I hope this helps some of you out.

    Thank you I will try that , I change the carburetor to a 28mm Nibbi is hard to tuned , and has boggin

      A bad set of reeds can play similar games.
      It's highly unlikely being the carb itself unless it's really dirty and clogged.
      1. Make sure you have genuine Mikuni jets I'm the carb and they are the proper size. Especially the pilot jet.
      2. Turn your air/fuel screw in all the way then back it out 1 and a half full rotations.
      3. Take your reed cage out and put it up to the light. If you see light shining through the edges than you need new reeds. Maybe a new cage too. I just replaced an old cage that has slight cracks on the bridge.
      If all that is dialed in and you still have this no rev situation then try grounding the wire. But make sure all your tors connections are unplugged.
