Hi, thank you for sharing! I have both Gemini and Empress. So glad you figured out you were forgetting to add the metal shim & plastic shim:) Thank you for your free shares 💜.
Do you prefer the Empress or the Gemini? I am looking into getting a bigger machine by the years end. I’m trying to figure if I should stick with the Gemini or try something new by getting the Empress.
@@kmckenzie08 Definitely the Empress! I do use my Gemini too for some crafters Companion dies and for using the CC build-a-block fabric cutting dies. But 99% of the time I use the Empress. It’s so much easier and cuts like butter. Check out Jennifer McGuire’s video of best die cutting machines on the market:) 💜💜💜
Yes, all of cutting plates are Crafter’s Companion for the Gemini Junior. I hope you enjoy your set. Once I figured out how to get the die to cut, I was so happy because there are a lot of card designs we can do with this set! I’m glad I signed up for the auto shipments.
Hi. It looks like you used two of the gemini cutting plates, a gemini metal shim, a gemini plastic shim and the gemini magnetic mat, along with the Anna Griffin die and the cardstock paper.... all the plates were gemini products, right? I've been looking for a recommendation of the right stacking. I just received my kit. Thanks for posting this.

One issue I see: I think you are taking too long to run through the machine. I think Anna said you have to work quickly so the ink doesn't dry on the die. Try that and see if results are better.
This looks more pronounced than others I’ve seen, but it still looks smeared around the edges. I’m not a fan. Sue Wilson actually came out with this several months ago and hers looks a lot better. The ink doesn’t bead up. Someone else said that Karen Burniston also put some out that looks good. I haven’t seen hers yet.
I’ve heard mixed feelings about these. A lot of people feel the same way as you. I like the concept and think they are nice to get quick color and embossing with one pass through, however I think coloring by hand will give you the best result. These dies are costly, so I’ll have to figure out if I want to continue with the autoships.
Great work. It takes time to catch on, then its so easy.
Yes, I will keep trying. I really would like to try the tea cup next and use the blue ink. I think that would make a beautiful card!

Thanks for the tip. I’ll keep that in mind and try to work faster the next go round!

You might need to add an extra sheet of paper as a shim

ONCE i had my plates figured correctly, my results were clear and vivid. The stamping couldn't be clearer.
So glad I did not order these.
