Oh yes, Rachel, I know those kind of comments hurt. I, too, try and just ignore them. I remove them from my comment feed. I figure it’s my channel...and I want it to be positive....so bye bye to the negative Nellie’s out there. I do know that it’s about them and where they are in their lives not about me. Thing is we both get way more positive comments, so I try to concentrate on those. I get several thumbs down every video and often before it would be possible for them to have watched, so I don’t know if those people I remove comments from get a notification? But I think maybe it’s them. Sad to be the kind of people that would rather break someone’s day than make it! Just know that you and your work are loved my so many people! You have inspired me so much! SEnding love and big hugs! ❤️

Can't wait until you blog about Italy. That is, when you find time in between all the amazing things you make! Loved all the collaging! Something that helps me stay in frame is putting strips of painters tape (easily removable tape) around the edge of the viewing area. If anything crosses the tape I know it’s out of frame / out of view, except when I have so much stuff on my table I can’t see the tape anymore lol.
Boring? never! Everything is wonderful. You can glue any way you want to and your wet ones worked perfect. I so love your Jessica paper too. Please link you favorite shopping places. I know it might be a dream to come there to shop, but who knows some of us might make it one day: Like your antique markets, places you buy paper and your artist who made the little pitcher, maybe the "shop around the corner. PS: Some of us love your LONG video's!

Hi Rachel, I’m really enjoying your creativity and art style with all of the beautiful images you use. I was wondering if you need to use a particular needle type or size in your sewing machine, because some of the pages seem stiff and more dense than normal pages. I was thinking that maybe a denim needle might be stronger and hold its point better with the use of the course paper, or would that make the thread hole too big? Any hints for us newbies?
I just use a regular needle for cotton. When doing straight stitch make sure the length of your stitches is around 3, not too short. Thank you so much!

I let my parents sway my choice & so I didn't really excel like I imagine I would have if I had been given the chance to pursue MY passion, so thank Heaven you & she made the right decision. She’s fantastic, I like to sew bits together especially for larger journals. Jessica just collaged with glue on a large piece of paper. I hadn’t seen that before, Jessica was my first hence for me it’s ‘Jessica paper’. I’m just giving credit to where I personally saw it. I’m sure there are many different versions about. Thank you so much Sue! Straw paper is a recycled paper they have here in Italy called 'carta paglia'. It's made from straw. The Italians use it as an absorbant paper when frying and sometimes as placemats in restaurants. I love the paper and started to put it in journals as it has a wonderful colour and texture. My friend who's an artist loves sketching on it.
