- Finding the best raw denim as well as high quality menswear that adibes by the menswear trends 2024 is honestly a lot more difficult than you would think in NYC! Especially considering how fast the world of raw selvedge denim jeans, raw denim jeans, and menswear trends are changing, and it can be quite difficult for a lot of stores to keep up with the rapid shift in the menwear and mens fashion culture! This is also true with how avant garde menswear trends 2024 and mens fashion trends 2024 has become over the past few years.
Very few menswear and raw denim stores are successful at it, and very few mens fashion stores will even attempt something like this. But one menswear and mens fashion store in NYC has completely changed the game recently, leaving me wondering where this store has been my whole life, as their skill of bridging the gap between timeless mens fashion and the mens fashion trends 2024!
That store is called Standard & Strange, which has quickly without a doubt become my absolute FAVORITE store in Manhattan for menswear and raw selvedge denim jeans, as well as Japanese fashion as a whole. What Standard & Strange does was thought to be impossible in the menswear and mens fashion world. Even in the raw denim jeans world!
Standard & Stranges offering grooms the consumer into the well dressed man, as well as the raw denim beginner. Standard & Strange has truly become the one stop shop for the entire mens fashion journey of a man! Offering staple mens fashion brands like Orslow and Merz B Schwanen, or raw denim brands like Momotaro jeans, Fullcount denim, and Real McCoy, or even incredible niche menswear brands like Black Sign and Lowercase NYC, Standard & Strange has changed the way mens shop and dress singlehandedly, becoming in and of itself a menswear guide as well as a raw denim beginners guide.

With Al's shoestore, Bronson, Sauce Origin, Red Tornado, and many many more, I can only say people are sleeping on Chinese garments. With their history in silk and their fabric production over literally thousands of years I think it is pretty arrogant how some people dismiss it, just because this country also makes a lot of cheap stuff. Also for us Europeans your channel shows a lot of American pitched content that is about just as alien to us as Asian stuff.

This is a great question actually! Let me ask my friends over there and find out for you! But I can tell you a lot of their garments are more on the relaxed and/or oversized side, so I’m sure they could accommodate larger sizing 😁💪🏽
Very good point actually. I am 6'5 and don't even always have the luxury to shop for stylish or affordable garments. I would love me some Western Aloha or Brave Star or Levi's even, shop for shoes in Paris, even when watching style channels such as this there is almost always that size issue that is often not even mentioned. That is why I love Soso, and it is still affordable, they have been great in terms of service and craftsmanship lately.
So did you like Standard & Strange or not? I'm finding it hard to tell! On a serious note, you're right to praise the quality of what Chinese brands can produce and the history they can tap into, but there's a massive elephant in the room - Xinjiang cotton. China covers every type of cotton production, including the most traditional and artisanal, but a lot of it is undeniably made with forced labour in Xinjiang province and should be avoided by anyone with the slightest interest in human rights. Unfortunately, lack of transparency makes it so hard to be sure where the cotton is from and how it's produced. Sorry for introducing such a sour note, but this can't be ignored.
