- Have you seen yellowtail swarming on the oceans surface, its those times when you throw everything including the kitchen sink at them and they still wont hit your bait or lure. They just continue doing their thing with their mouths on the water’s surface. I call this swarming and I would be lying if i said i knew exactly what they were doing. They might be spawning perhaps. Other species have been ovserved doing the same thing. So back on topic, this is where i like to hunt for Kingfish that are either patroling the area for a feed or maybe even shelter. But one thing i have witnessed in these scenarios is where matching the hatch can sometimes get it completely wrong. This video will show you what to do in those Circumstances if you were to come across a swarming school of yellowtail and demonstrate how matching the hatch isnt always the right way to go and where standing out in the crowd can deliver better results at times.
Enjoy 😊

Can you do a tutorial on finding bust ups or explain how to find them
Haha probably best to ask powerfish, but to answer your question, I don’t come across too many bust ups in my travels if I’m being honest and if I do it’s usually salmon or tailor which I’m not usually interested in.
