Just a suggestion as you develop your videos, describe what you are seeing as you are filming so your audience can come along with you on your adventures. Most of us in the USA would think those seabirds were a type of Seagull, but I think they are actually Gannets which are seabird that is unique to New Zealand and the islands in that area. Great start on the channel! Looking forward to more adventures in your lovely country!
Great suggestions. Will definitely do that next video thank you. Those are actually and sub species of Albatross known as “molly mawk” these specifically the “sooty molly mawk” they are huge. Thanks so much for the support
What size hooks and what bait were you using? I’m just getting into blue cod fishing so if there’s any good tips you’ll be willing to share please do. I also live in NZ, Nelson specifically. We get heaps of big snapper in Tasman bay 20+lb sometimes
No mate they are very different actually bro. Completely different genus and and have no relation. The tooth fish also grows about 3 times the size of a blue cod and look nothing alike. Not quite sure what you meant in this comment
I do not recamend going with that charter man because when I went with him for the first time he was trying to scar as and we paid for 4 hours and because it was only my dad brother and I he said there is not enough people and he can not give as a refund 1 Star.

We went with this boat in Jan 2020 and had a great time - same skipper, me my wife, a Norwegian and his young son. Fantastic trip.
