    We were at the casino last week with a $500 budget. We were down to our last hundred and we put it into one of our favorite low volatility slots. We got back up to $300 and we really wanted to try to make the rest back, but you, Dave and Brantley were on our shoulders telling us to go home, so we did. Thank you all for your excellent education. We have many more stories like this where we wanted to do something and we hear you all and then we do better. You have caused us to take breaks, stop gambling when we get angry, leave, etc. You all have made us much better gamblers, and we are so grateful for it.

    Yup, it's my only entertainment. So know it could all be gone, but the way I play rarely loose all my money. I save up my casino money. Less eating out, less Starbucks runs, do I really need those new shoes, when have 30 pair already? It's surprising how much is in my casino money envelope by the time I get to go. I'm basically a cash person. Once a week get my cash for the week. Don't use debit card to buy a Starbucks or BK lunch. Everything is cash. When it's gone it's gone till the next week. Pay my casino money envelope first, before treats etc. Takes time to develope these skills, but then I'm old😂

    Another great video Marc. Well presented and imperative information for the gambler wanting to be more successful. I especially like the part about not having to gamble all your money. The last three trips I made to Vegas I budget $5000. Roughly $1300 per day. Not once did I spend more than a total of a $700. If I was having a bad session I'd call it a day. Let my mind settle and get back at it the next day. And you know what? The next day I'd win my money back. All because I was picking the right machines with a clear thought process and not playing due to an emotional response to loss.

    • @GambleSmart
      @GambleSmart  8 วันที่ผ่านมา +6

      That's very smart - especially calling it quits when having a bad session. So many people fall victim to the chase at that point.

    I just realized I have a gambling issue last weekend when I took $2,000 to the casino that I won the week before and gave it all back expecting a better payout.
    I will never go back to the casino without someone to go with and be my logic.

    Have a set budget. Yes, entertainment budget.
    If you win, take some home and add it to your budget for the next time.
    Break up your playing into sessions. It helps your comps.
    Frequently pull your money out and shoving it back in 😊
    For a low rollover like me, I move to look for another game after losing $20.
    Watch these teaching channels and read the comments which can always share tips on slot games.
    Good luck everyone!!😊

My bestie will play back a $500.00 dollars win, ask me for a $100.00 and then drive home pissed because she list her money😅 So I made her promise not to be angry with me the next time we go to the casino, because I'm going to take over control of our exit plan, she's making me want to gamble alone, I just don't get it...

    Hi Marc. What a well organized video.
    I admit, I've never thought of making a stop time and take the winnings and put it away.
    This is funny, when I was married, my husband wld never bet a quarter. We wld go with a group of family and we had 2 groups. Those who play and Those who hv cocktails. Ha.
    I hit a royal flush the 3rd spin, $4000. Called my husband and gave him it all to hold for me.
    There was another time in Foxwoods, 5 reel fire sevens. Hit $4000. Did the same thing.
    Well, he's gone now and I do wind up putting back all the winnings.
    That's why I now have both yr money boxes. To serve 2 different reasons of control.
    This video is definitely a repeater to watch.
    You played out the order, with reasoning. And gd reasoning.
    Hv a gd week.
    Thank you. 😊

    The message you guys are sending is valid and viable, but in a lot of cases, it just doesn't sink in. I believe most people are inherently ignorant when it comes to money as well as gambling. My breaks consist of walking, watching, and listening. I see people expecting to hit "their retirement dream," then get frustrated and take it out on the machine when it doesn't happen, or leave a deposit on the restroom floor before leaving. Unfortunately, for the majority, gambling isn't a form of entertainment; it's failure to achieve a desired outcome. Sad, but true. 😢 Thanks for the message you present in such an upfront and open manner. 😊

    For me, when it is time to quit, there's two things I watch for. 1. I have been playing a long time, not really winning a lot or losing a lot, but I am ahead. If I leave while I am ahead I leave a winner. That feels good. Any amount ahead is still a winner. A couple times I was about even and left. I calling that winning too. I got to play and had a chance at winning but didn't lose. 2. I notice my mind is getting off the games and I start thinking about what I will do after I leave the casino. Its time to go.

Fighting to align with this thinking each time you go is a worthwhile endeavor and it almost always will not only help you spread your budget, but it will help keep your wits about you and maybe leave with something. :)

It is a constant reminder to play with your head and to not get emotionally involved with a machine. Your $10 challenge to walk away when you make more than your bet (no matter the small amount) was a game changer for me and yielded me a $1000 win on a 75 cent bet. Using the things you talk about, i have become very educated and recognize what's occurring before, during, and after my casino trips. If youre a Seinfeld fan, you'll recall the episode where George says "my little man is an idiot!" You may have the best intentions of not going over your limit, but that little voice takes over and tells you the machine is just about ready to hit, so you either hit the ATM or keep feeding it more $.

    What I’ve learned from my playing experiences is a) that if a machine is going to pay you,it will very often play right away, b) avoid chasing a win. If you’ve dumped $50 out of $100, you’ll want to keep chasing this machine hoping it will give it back. Sometimes it does, often it doesn’t. It would be best to try for another machine that might reward you right off the bat, c) and this one’s an important one. WALK AWAY from any machine that you are able to land one of its special bonus rounds and you only recuperate just over your initial balance after the bonus rounds. An example of this would be if you started with $100 and after pumping in $45 into the game you win a bonus round and after the bonus round you end up with just over your initial balance. This machine is NOT going to pay you anymore. This is just from my experience.

    Don’t forget that if you win a jackpot, you should always get a win/loss statement from the casino because you can deduct your losses from your winnings. Unless you win much more than you lose, you should not have to pay anything on your winnings.

    #1 rule that I’ve learned is to have a plan for each machine and commit to it.
    For example:
    1) max 100 spins
    2) max 25 spins per denom
    3) max loss per machine.
    I broke these rules twice last week and resulted in a huge loss instead of a win. $4K loss and $3K loss on 2 machines. Net loss was $2.5K which could have been averted if I followed my max loss $500-$1000 per machine.

    Hey Marc, this is excellent information and I hope this attracts a lot more notice. And I haven't even scratched the surface.
    Not sure if you saw my other comment on here, but, I'll give it to you in short: my last 2 visits to the club, I didn't have my Gamble Box on me AND my ATM card was present... whoops! 🤭
    However, I did walk away both times with some rather handsome profits along with some of my budget left over. While I came out extremely fortunate, I'll know not to do that again and follow my own rules next time! 😆
    GSGS, people. 👍

    • @GambleSmart
      @GambleSmart  8 วันที่ผ่านมา +3

      I did see that. If you are able to practice self control, then you don't need a gamble box. The idea is to train yourself not to need it... But the struggle is real. :)

    easier said than done! while i appreciate what you are trying to do here in close to 20 years of gambling I’ve never met a single person who has been able to do all this on a consistent basis. The only real success stories i’ve seen are ppl who opt in to the self exclusion program, move far away from any casino and/or simply do not go-period!

      I would argue you can do it - we've done it, many people who watch us have as well (we've seen them). It's incredibly difficult in practice, we will not argue that. But, even if you do SOME of what I discussed in the video, you will become a smarter gambler because of it.

    I have a wird question not sure if you guys know the answer or not. When playing a new game very often it seems to pay more fairly or just pays out a few times. Then after you have played it a few times it just seems to not pay anymore at all. Could the player card you put in the machine identify your game play to the machine or am I crazy?

    I’m going casino with $500 for play on DDD $5( winnings saved) is their a benefit to playing $5 max credit over $10 single credit with DDD?

    • @GambleSmart
      @GambleSmart  8 วันที่ผ่านมา

      Look at the paytable and see if there is any benefit to betting max. On some versions of DDD, they will give you 2500 credits for 3 double diamdons instead of 1600 on max bet (2 coin). However, if it doesn't, there is no benefit to betting max at all.
