  • Are they breeding? Did we lose them all!?!?
    An update on our Rubber Ducky Isopods, and more.
    Check out how our Cubaris rubber duckies are doing. Also, we'll do an update on our Cubaris Panda King isopods and Cubaris Pak Chong isopods.
    Rubber ducky isopods are the cutest isopods out there. Not only are they rare and difficult to keep, they are sometime hard to find when trying to obtain them. However, it's all worth while as they have the cutest faces!!!

The oldest colonies I have are 5 months old but have babies everywhere except pak Chong (only 3 left alive :( and probably same sex I guess) and Jupiter (got them last week). I think I was extremely lucky with cubaris so far, thinking about adding few more pak chongs to give them chance in the future. Have also bolivaris, they are also stunning and more than alive 👌🤞

    You probably have a lot more ducky’s and pandas than you think. They like to burrow into the dirt. There’s other species of cubaris that don’t burrow, like white ducky’s. I started with cubaris and love them.

    • @SupremeGecko
      @SupremeGecko  2 ปีที่แล้ว

      Absolutely know that. Because they burrow, I'm not a big fan (just my preference). Still prefer active isopods and especially the giant spanish. But with difference like this, that's what makes it fun.

    I would love some pet isopods. I adored Rollie-pollies as a kid but was never allowed to keep any due to my mother being grossed out by ‘bugs’. I would love to have an interesting colony of a species that doesn’t naturally inhabit my country, Canada. I especially love the armadillidium (spelling?) types that roll up into balls. They’re so cute when they do that! I’d like a type that are large enough to easily see and photograph, and maybe even handle carefully once in a while. Can you recommend a particular type?

    • @SupremeGecko
      @SupremeGecko  3 ปีที่แล้ว

      I certainly can- Armadillidium Punta Cana or A. Golden Slano for a larger one. Armadillidium klugii (Clowns) are very popular. Make sure you check out the breeder list on our store page for Canadian breeders.

I tried again at the beginning of 2020 after I was able to find info about them needing lime in their soil. Now I have panda’s, Duckie’s, Little Sea and just started Shiro Utsuri.
