@this city really looks like a city To be fair Anakin wasn’t sure if he could trust Obi Wan regarding his secret relationship with Padme, since it was unfortunately against the Jedi code? Also, Obi Wan shouldn’t have joined the Jedi High Council, this drove him and Anakin further apart. Didn’t he see that he wasn’t honoring Qui Gon’s memory by joint the Council? He and the rest of the Jedi should’ve tried treating Anakin with more trust and compassion, and they should’ve known better than to let Palpatine have access to him in the first place? They talk about not having attachments when they were so attached to the Republic and the power that it gave them, what blatant hypocrisy.

Awesome to see some positive Shaak Ti content. All to often she is reduced to the moron TCW made her in the Fives arc. In pre-TCW stories she was, as said, a lot more cunning and perceptive. Ti was, rightfully, one of the orders best (and I'd think any jedi whose presence alters the force signature of an entire planet is a great light sider) and all she really sought was the flurishment and later survival of her people. Her last moments spent in teaching a final lesson to the next generation. Which in the end played a large role in saving the galaxy and reigniting the jedi light in earnest.

Ti used the force like qui gon who she embodies though with much more power and weight, so she subverted her opponents rather than overpowering them outright but in failing that, no problem in clobbering them to heel. She also believes in less physical more spiritual methods of jedi pursuits, living force and all that, in the same wing as yoda, obi wan and she is flexible with her tactics believing in any potental solution with any ally and cause to be possible, like gallia, qui gon, even luminara.
Plo is probably one of the most interesting because he is all about justice and always knowing right from wrong, in many ways unforgiving and unchanging in his judgement, seeing criminals as only that- not worth the same consideration, and defending every decision he makes and using assertion and aggression to end a fight quick and protect the vulnerable, seeing battles or fights as necessary when negotiating doesn’t work. He is loyal though to his allies and would defend them to the hilt within reason. In many ways he is what kenobi embodies though plo is more rigid, hardlined and battle scarred in it
Then billaba. Oh billaba. Spiritual, against any war yet is utterly competent in violence when its called for. No compunction about killing or maiming beings who presume to fight her who she thinks are villainous or gangsters, all for leaving worlds to govern themselves where at all possible and has trouble distinguishing where to apply peace or attribute wrongdoing among certain warring nations like those on haruun kal, and easier time with broader separatist forces.
Tiin, fisto and koth have little light between them, they are like mundi but more flexible, battle for peace, negotiation where possible and as a first response. Fisto believes in free flowing easy going cool headed approaches with levity and connection through humour, making any mission less daunting he knows what is good and just in the fundamental basic ways, which makes his character powerful and balanced.
Agen kolar is as bad as mundi, having no time for diplomacy at all and using violence in any way on anyone to get the job done believing the jedi council to always be correct even in wartime, no views of his own, no strong moral compass other than us good, them bad.

I’m curious on the philosophy of not killing one’s opponent. There is a high probability the person is not going to repent to begin with and will only cause more doom. The scenarios I’m thinking of is Kenobi when he is cornered by savage and maul, he cuts off savages limb, but he could have dealt a killing blow as he escaped. Asoka showed the inquisitors mercy and they for sure wouldn’t repent, and Ezra couldn’t kill an inquisitor because my guess is he has never killed anyone before, which is understandable. Maul then slays the inquisitor saying that next time it could cost him the lives of others if he didn’t take the opportunity. Other than this being a kids show….why not do it? Tactically or per the Jedi code.

The talk about the Jedi reminded of the question that I had ever since the video about the concept of the Grey Jedi here. Why don't they just change the names from the Light and the Dakr Side to the Balance State and the Imbalance State? If they simply change the names, things may be clearer between the Jedi and the Sith.

in the movies (first 6 ones at least) the light side was never called the light side of the force but simply the force. the dark side is a descriptor of why you dont want to go that path. basically the confusion has always rested on the fans and not in universe.

I don't really care how, but I would love to see a video about master Di from the clone wars episode supply lines. Unless I misidentified his species, his kin were a slave race of warriors to the Hutts. They also were know to be aggressive and tended to do mercenary work even when they were free. Also I just respect a man who is willing to fight to the last man to protect innocents, fewer deaths are more honorable.

Personally, I see myself as sort of a more aggressive Obi-Wan. I try to avoid violence as much as possible, since I see it as kind of unnecessary. I prefer to solve matters with words, rather than with fists. It's ironic how a guy with Autism grew from an easily angered child, to an adult who is generally very difficult to piss off and prefers diplomacy to violence. However, when violence is no longer avoidable, especially when the other person strikes first, I can get pretty aggressive with how I fight. Despite not being in many fights, I'm pretty capable in actual combat. I will try not to kill a person when combat comes about. However, if I cannot think of another alternative, I'm not above killing someone. I have not taken a life yet and I hope I will not be put in a position where I will not be able to find another way.

I find that being a Jedi and a sith overall requires moderation. If you swing too much dark you basically become a slave to the force (I.e insane power crazy deformed person) but if you swing too much to the light you become a weakling when compared to a dark sided. Since yes you get OP but you are weakened by your duty as a Jedi.
