Mundi, Tiin and Koon were permanent/lifetime council members (along with Yoda and Windu), if that counts as an additional title. These five sat next to each other, people spoke facing them, and they often had their own sub-meetings (as seen in Clone Wars).
Jocasta Nu was a council member? I always just assumed she was just the librarian of the order.

Question how did the Jedi decide what master would sit on the council and what was the qualification in order to become a council member.

I've never read any star wars books or lore, so when I saw the movies I always thought that Even Piell was the same species as Yoda, but he wasn't green because he's not nearly as old as Yoda. Very similar ears.
Why did I think Aayla Secura was a member of the Jedi Council?
Something I never really understood: in order to be considered a Master, a Jedi had to be a Council member or was it possible to be a Master without a seat in the Council? I'm aware there are other requirements to be a Master (like training a Padawan to be Knight, for instance), but I never really understood if one HAD to be a Council Member to be considered a Master.

Plo Koon and Kit Fisto are my two favorite Jedi, it's a shame they weren't featured more in Clone Wars or in the movies, or have their own book, Mace has his own book, Yoda and Dooku share a book, Anakin and Obi-wan are in multiple books, and Bariss Ofee(?) is in the Medstar duology, why don't two of the best Jedi have their own book, it's outrageous! It's unfair!

@@elijahblechman8633 I just looked, The Cestus Deception is the only book with Kit Fisto in a main role. Other than that they're seldom seen or mentioned in the books or just not present. They do however, appear in the comics, but since I don't read them I left them out.
Isaiah Albers I don’t watch Revenge of the Sith too often because it hurts to much to watch them both die, Kit Fisto and Plo Koon are two of my favourite Star Wars characters. They feature as main roles more often.

I always believed Coleman Kcaj replaced Even Piell and not Oppo Rancisis, because both Kcaj and Rancisis appear together in the council in season 6 of The Clone Wars. Also why would the Jedi wait almost a year to replace Piell's seat?
Adding on to that, are we sure Anakin's appointment was a replacement? From the way Palpatine described the appointment, I had always assumed Anakin was an extra 13th member of the Council.
Then again, they did have a seat already ready for Anakin in the Council Chambers, so I could very easily be wrong.
That's because Even Piell died in the clone wars series when Anakin obi wan and ahsoka with clones tried to bust him out of a jail he got mauled to death by some type of creature don't know the name looks like a wolf and dog mixed together

Depa fought grievous twice, and managed to walk away with her life. She also trained and sacrificed her life for her padawan, who would manage to evade the empire for decades in part because of her mentoring. She was very humble and strongly believed that Jedi did not belong on the battlefield, and was one of the youngest Jedi in history to get a seat on the high council. She at least deserves 11 or higher.

For some reason I always have thought Luminara was part of the Jedi Council on Revenge of the Sith but she never was.
I wish Kit Fisto survived, he was such a cool guy. I always wish his biology allowed him to survive the lightsaber strike enough for him to fake his death, but that is just wishful thinking.

Yoda, Mace, Ki Adi Mundi, and Plo Koon are the only 4 members who were council members across all 3 prequel films. They even sat in the same chairs
Saesee Tiin was also in all 3 films. Only that he changed seats in ROTS
I suppose losing losing your your legs, mind, freedom, potential, wife, and for all he knew at the time children counts as a last laugh.

I'm torn between Yoda, Obi-Wan, Plo Koon and Kit Fisto as my favorite council members because I just think all four are awesome characters in unique ways but I would agree with a notion Qui-Gon lived by: that the Jedi Council was wise but not infallible or perfect by any means.

Coleman Kcaj didn't replace Oppo Rancisis. Both of them were on the council in the final The Clone Wars episodes

@@mattmortar1325 Yeah, there's a lot of come and go regarding Jedi Masters on the council during the Clone Wars so I'm just checking them for the 3 main films.
Question for the Q&A. Do Jedi Knights usually get Padawans, or is it only Masters who receive Padawans? Exceptions being Obi-Wan taking on Anakin and Anakin with Ahsoka.
as far as I know from legends material (still canon maybe) Jedi Knights do recieve Padawans. If their Padawans get the Knight title, then de Jedi Knights get the Master title... that´s why Anakin never get the rank of master, Ahsoka left the order before the trials... so that made Anakin to take a sit.
If I'm not mistaken, the most common way of becoming a jedi master was to train a padawan, so yes knights would usually get Padawans, but masters would aswell. Many masters (and probably also some knight) trained multiple padawans. i would think Obi-Wan taking Anakin as a padawan immediately after becoming a knight would be uncommon
@@anderskjrjrgensen8152 that's what I thought, but I can't recall actually seeing anyone who wasn't already a master training a padawan except for Obi-Wan and later Anakin. I guess I'm just looking for another specific cannon example.
Neither can I, except if you want to count Ezra/Kanan from Star Wars Rebels, but that is definitely not under normal circumstances.
@@AaronPharaoh Not confirmed but MAYBE Kit Fisto when he first took his padawan that Grevious killed? Fisto seems like one of the younger Jedi and may not have been a Master when he took a Padawan. Unknown when Dooku trained Qui-Gon but considering the age of Qui-Gon (becoming a Master before taking on Obi-Wan I think) it is possible Dooku was only a Knight. Honestly we know more Masters than Knights, so that might be why we are having such a time trying to come up with examples.

To be fair anakin had a padawan but she left the order and failed her trials so it makes sense he wasn’t given the rank of master after having a failed apprentice
