Best Seat in the House! (Nate Smith Masterclass with the Flyers at The Blue Note NYC)

Ok so this is part 1 of the Fearless Flyers at the Blue Note on dec 10th. I got the tix last minute after they sold out wayyy sooner than I expected and thank god. As you can probably hear from my yelling the whole time, I was yelling the whole time. From the second Nate started smacking those drums, I was outta body. I had seen Joe a few times with vulfpeck and with Joey Dosik as well, and it's crazy every time, I was lucky to meet him after the show as well. Great guy.
I got to have a little chat with Jack Stratton as well which was crazy as well because i am in a band often compared to vulf. I have never seen a tighter band in my life. Not one missed bar, not one miscue, off beat, nothing. It was crazy, of course Jack had to be pulling some stunt which was recording the record there live so it was cool to hear 4 new songs. I won't be posting them until they are released for obvious reasons. I did not alter the audio at all. I didn't bring any other recorder so maybe comment if i should work some mixing magic on the next ones.obviously cory wong was perfect all night. Obviously Mark Lettieri exceeded expectations somehow, and ripped the craziest solo. Obviously Joe dart was pocket all day. Obviously the blue note crew was fantastic and they sounded amazing. Obviously Jack Stratton was hilarious and in full character.
Joe used his signature music man joe dart bass
Mark used a baritone prs guitar (PRS SE 277 baritone, 2021)
Cory used his signature fender strat.
Nate used his signature Nate Smith snare with a little Ludwig kit I think. He also used a floor tom and a ride cymbal which is out of flyers character.
Point is if you get a chance to see them, spend the money. If you are a musician, it's a masterclass. Nate gave me a stick and I got his setlist signed by Joe.
